My goal is to provide accurate up-to-date information for my family members, as well as linking them up, parents, spouse and children listed. However, I have added some very close friends and/or neighbors. If my children or grandchildren one day start to search they will find reliable information on our family.

RE: Varner lee Eskridge

Varner was a miss print. His name was Henry Lee Eskridge. I know this for a fact he was my mother in law's father. What more proof do you need. He did go by Lee.

Varner lee Eskridge
Name is Henry Lee Eskridge not Varner. He was my mother in law's father. Lived with them at the time of his death in 1963.

I am posting obituaries to give researchers a source for obituaries. I spent a lot of time going to libraries to get obituaries off of microfilm. Then I took them home and transcribed them. In fact, years ago, one of the librarians in New Albany put my collection into a book form. At that time, I had over 3000 obituaries in my collection. Many of my family members have obituaries from Louisville, as well as New Albany, Clarksville, Corydon, etc. I'm sure that my collection is double that size now.

I'm trying to save other researchers from going through the time consuming trouble that I went through to get these obits and transcribe them.

I realize that many of the newer ones are available online, but most of my collection are older obituaries. Some researchers may want all the obits that are out there because they may be worded differently. It is very important to researchers to have the obituaries sourced.

Thank you for your interest.
