Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have lived in Massachusetts for all my life (so far), except for college - in Newton for about 20 years, and Newburyport for just over 45 years.

I am relatively new at taking gravestone pictures but I'm getting the hang of it.

I have a family tree on Ancestry.Com which led me to Find A Grave. It has helped me locate relatives and information on the stones helps greatly in determining if someone is really related.

I try to respect the rules of F-A-G but from time time time I will post an image of an obituary, especially if I don't have the time to transcribe it and it has names of a spouse, children, siblings, etc. Please forgive me for that.

I believe that this site was meant to share information as ell as photos, so feel free to copy anything I have posted here. Sharing our research is the only way we have of communicating to those we don't even know exist.

I'll close with a quote from a Muppets movie :

"There's not a name yet for old friends who've just met".

Welcome "old friend".

RE: Hutchinson photos - East Venice NY
My wife and I spent a few hours researching Edwin M Hutchinson who died at he home of his son Garry on Feb 23, 1888. Gary was an employee of The International Harvester plant in Auburn, NY for 40 yes . Garry died on Dec 6, 1911 and is buried near his two wives in Fort Hill Cemetery, Auburn, NY. We looked in the Fort Hill buried roster and found an Edwin L, but not him as he was born in 1846 and died in 1911 also. Although Edwin M died in Auburn, we think he's buried with his wife Parthenia somewhere in Genoa, NY. We're still looking. James W was born April 12, 1777 n died August 9, 1856 n buried in East Venice too. Probably they're in the same cementery with the 4 children. Maybe T n I will take another ride over there again tomorrow. We're about 20 miles away from E Venice near Genoa, but only 300 ft across the road from Fort Hill in Auburn.

I'll keep the Hutchinson family name in mind when I search in other cementeries. Maybe I'll see them as well.
You're Very Welcome.

RE: Hutchinson - Greenwood Cem, Plainview
Hi I added a picture that show the entire lot for Daniel. There are no more memorial stones in the area. I suspect that she is buried beside him in lot 1 or 3 without a marker. The ground is not level and appears to have been disturbed long ago, also his son is buried near by aprox. 25 yds to the south in the same row.

His obit states he died in Philadelphia, I just thought he could have been in the hospital there. Only way we know for positive is a death cert. I have had family die while visiting in other areas. If you don't want to use it, that is fine with me. Anita

RE: David Ingersoll
Hi, David Franklin Ingersoll goes back to the immigrating Ingersoll, Richard and George, back to the early 1600's. Somewhere in between our families meet :). David F, doesn't show up in my Family Tree yet. I want to thank you again for transferring the Herbert Ingersoll's to my care. I've made some connections and inserted dates and places. The terrible accident of Nancy Jean makes me wonder how the unfortunate father got through the horrible experience and the rest of his life with such a dreadful accident to haunt him. Very, very sad. Thanks for your generosity, Esther

I did put birth place first part of BIO and I gave you credit for it. I already knew that part but had not updated the memorial. Did you know that Amos, Eunice and Hannah were all moved to the current cemetery? Can not remember the name of first burial place. I noticed that the stones are tipped badly, we cleaned them up but you are correct, they need work. Anita

The land area of Great Nine Partners was thousands of acres. Without the actual land records how can we say he was born in a town that exists now, not then? At the time of his birth Great Nine Partners is about all any of us can be positive about. He is my 6th great grandfather. This last July, I was able to visit the area of Owego and his grave. They have him documented there in 1791 on an island of 100 acres, also on the land was William Bates in 1791. I believe William was his brother in law. Anita
