I have been researching my genealogy for many years and now have over 26,000 people in my database and in a private genealogy website.|
I am a former Navy Nurse, civilian nurse, nurse educator, airline pilot and diving instructor. I'm the Director of Health & Safety at the Virginia Renaissance Faire, where I have been volunteering for 9 years. The "White Knights" are responsible for first aid (& other things) for the cast, crew, vendors, and patrons; over 3,000 people a day. I also enjoy walking cemeteries and taking photos for you.
I have found thousands of relatives and ancestors who were murdered in the Holocaust. I am entering them, one by one, and so far have created over 2,500 of their memorials, more than 1550 in Auschwitz alone. They are separated in my virtual cemeteries by camps, and I also created a virtual cemetery for the children, which has over 400 children listed so far. I would be honored if you would stop by to visit them when you are able. I ask only that you refrain from leaving Christian tokens or wording. Thank you so much.
Feel free to add photos to my memorials any time, as long as you have taken them yourself and have not copied them from obituaries. Thanks!
I am happy to make additions, corrections and family links, and am always grateful for additional information you can send. Please send them using the EDIT feature on the memorial page. I will act on all additions, etc. within 24 hours when possible.
I would so appreciate if you would stop by my beloved dad's and mom's memorials and leave a token so I know you've been there. My mom has only been in heaven a short time. Thank you so much to those who have already visited them. I have also made virtual cemeteries for my 5 wonderful fur babies and 2 special cousins. They would love to see you too. I miss them all so much. Thank you.
♥My Dad♥ and ♥My Mom♥
I would like to thank every one of you for visiting my family members & friends. It truly means so very much to me to see all your tokens and notes. You are a very special group of people and I am so grateful to have met you.
Your tombstone stands among the rest,
neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
on polished marble stone.
It reaches out to all who care;
it is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist;
you died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
in flesh, in blood and bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
one hundred years ago
spreads out among the ones you left
who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew,
that someday I would find this spot
and come to visit you.

at we did about the Family Tree change: links and bI was working this morning on Find A Grave and got an email of a copy of a correction that I'd made. I opened it to see everything new. They did the same thing to millions of A.com Family Trees 2.5 yrs ago when they phased out the "Classic" format for the "New" format, designed for mobile devices. The pages scroll down very long, so that most of my family tree pages, which had been 2 pages long, had become 7, with very large blank spaces, and were therefore impossible to print out, and also had a very dark background.
I looked on Google and found this good website that discusses how Find A Grave is changing ("to update its code"). Seems they have been working on it since April. You'll see a sample of what I saw, and then, be sure to scroll down farther and read all the "Comments." Many say the same things thios are lost, etc. Now, this particular magazine with the article says it has since closed down, so the comments go only through May. Some suggested that a user of Find A Grave can decide for herself which version to use, the old or the new. That's what they said about the FT, and then they decided it was non-productive to run both.
It's very upsetting to me, and I remembered that you had beautiful pages and might need to be warned. Print out as many Memorial pages as you want to save because the display will change. (Let me know if you don't get this link and I'll give you my regular email address and Please don't let this message sit too long on your public page.) Here's the link:

Print out any memorials you can save. They're changing the site now the way they changed the classic ancestry- badly!

Thank you so much for taking the photos of the graves, headstone, and the photos of Domenico and Francesca Tagliarini on the headstone. I greatly appreciate it.

Hi, thank you so much for taking the time to get a photo of this marker. It means a great deal to family members.
Hi, I grew up near Hubbard Heights Golf Course in Stamford, on Connecticut Ave. I still have relatives in Stamford.

Thank you so much for your effort and contribution. He was a good friend of my sister who manages his memorial. She is most appreciative.
