It's going to take a while to piece it all together. " -- Author unknown
"But don't forget the pioneers!
Brave heroes and heroines!
Their graves shall yet be found,
And monuments shall mark their dust,

..."Death is nothing at all. It does not count. I have only slipped away into the next room. Nothing has happened. Everything remains exactly as it was. I am I, and you are you, and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by the old familiar name. Speak of me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference into your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without an effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. There is absolute and unbroken continuity. What is this death but a negligible accident? Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well." -Anonymous

see Find A Grave 44383449 for another photo supplied by me which is credited to me but not connected to my Find A Grave record. Further I supplied a really great pic of this man and his sister Adelaide taken when they were both very cute well dressed children but it was not used on Find A Grave

Yes I tried to post photos which were appropriate. Some of the photos as you may have determined were not people related to me. Also I had a number of photos from 19th century which I did not post but emailed to people who were more closely related to the person(s) pictured and they chose not to put them on Find A Grave.

Looked at my records - no clue if Sarah taught school but likely IMHO. BTW my mother's father was born in Blunt SD. My mother died at 92 a little over a year ago - she is on FindAGrave too.

Of course. You may use them as you like. Thanks for asking. I did not know they were related. I guess you know that Elizabeth Dickey Laughlin (the mother of my mother's father) was (1893-1897) Superintendent of Hughes County (Pierre) schools. I know that Effie taught school but don't know about her friend. My mother's mother fortunately wrote info on back of photos.

|DaveRichardson||RE: Mayflower-List ?|
Hi - Cathy - I am not connected with any of the New England Richardsons. My father from the John Richardson of VA. Richard Warren is a 9th great grandfather of my mother, Frances Johnson. I think one of her aunts was a member. This is in my dave-richardson file in RootsWeb.com. Sorry I am no help. Dave
|DaveRichardson||RE: Post Script: Clarissa Richardson POWELL Porter, wife of Edward Porter.|
Hi - I am email@example.com I archive my dave-xxxx files in RootsWeb.com and my dave-Richardson file has my John Richardsons who seems to have started in the Lower Little Reed Island settlements about 1769 in what is now Pulaski Co. VA. Several of us are getting connected thru yDNA. The descendants of John and son John are mixed up.
Good Luck Dave
|Janet Muff||RE: We should all be thanking YOU! :)|
We started packing the minivan yesterday, with a lot of help from our two Springer Spaniel puppies. Thanks for your good thoughts.
Cathy, thanks for putting the information on the memorial and for reassuring me. I'm just in the final countdown for the cross-country trip (from CA to VT) and the making a lot of find-a-grave edits would be the last straw. Seems like every time I turn around there are more things on my "to do" list.
|Janet Muff||RE: RUBEN MAYNARD, (1752-1829).|
Cathy, I see that you've added the information concerning Reuben Maynard's military activities to a flower on his memorial as well as sending it to me. Is there something additional you'd like me to do?
|Dale Bryan||Powell family|
One of my ancestors was Lurany Powell, sister of your Calvin Powell.
She apparently married her cousin, Stephen Powell.
Their daughter, Lucy Sheldon Powell, married Cary Burdick.
These were my g-g-g-grandparents.
I would appreciate your help in clarifying generations of the family after the "Silver Book".
