Bio

My name is David and I live in Lakewood, Washington (Near Tacoma about 50 miles south of Seattle). I retired in February 2009 and took up genealogy a few months later.

Two of our grand children live in Hanibal, Missouri. We visit there once or twice a year and I take photos in the cemeteries in that area.

When I visit a cemetery to fullfil requests, I often take pictures of other markers and add them to Find-A-Grave. If you would like me to transfer any of these to your management, please feel free to ask. I will be glad to if they are not part of our family.

The Find a Grave guidelines for Transfer Requests is as follows:

Transfers: I am MORE THAN HAPPY to transfer any of my memorials to you if they are your family member or ancestor (as long as they aren't mine also). I know that Find-A-Grave says not to transfer Memorials unless they are an immediate family member to four generations. I have created so many memorials that are not related to me, I would rather a family member of any relationship have them to maintain.

Please note that it is considered bad form to request a transfer and then, after receiving the transfer, delete that page and substitute it with a new memorial that you have created. This practice denies credit to the original contributor. I have had it done to me.

Use of Photos I have Taken: By this notice, you have my express written consent to use photos which I have taken for any non-comercial personal use that you see fit. You may post them to your personal family trees on any web-site. It would be nice if you would give me credit for the photo and say 'Used by Permission'. You may use them in any book you personaly are writing, but you must include source citation and 'Used by Permission". You may NOT post them to any other cemetery web-site. If you would like them added to such a web-site simply ask and I will probably do it for you.
