Hi again John,
If you know of where Eliza is buried, or create a Find A Grave memorial for her, would you mind letting me know? Her spouse, as you indicated, was James Tiley Hinsdale Jr. Thank you again for Lillian's Find A Grave memorial! I love to connect family members through edits on Find A Grave!

Sorry, John. Just saw your request about my duplicate entry for Lizzie Fulford. I must have overlooked it when I made that entry.
Anyway, I see that it has already merged. Feel free to remove the comment about her spouse since it is already included in the information you had (with first and second names reversed). Just seems like repeated info.
Thanks for letting me know.

|Nancy Varney||Clewis Cemetery|
Hello John, Hope you are well. I just wanted to let you know I have pictures of every grave in every cemetery in Crusoe and the surrounding area. I see theres a mix up with the two Clewis cemeteries in Crusoe. There's the "Clewis Family Cemetery" on the Long Corner rd. The folks buried there are Dallas C. Clewis, his wife Rena Etheridge Clewis, their three sons, Wadus Earl, Ray and Robert Dale Clewis. Dallas's brother Floyd Clewis and a Robert Lawrence Blackman are also there. I found a tiny child size grave that is unmarked. The other Clewis cemetery is smaller and the family calls it "Bruce Clewis Cemetery" Its about two miles at the end of Crusoe Island rd. Only three people are buried there, Hickory Bruce Clewis, his wife Olympus Smith Clewis and daughter Carleen Clewis Long. Hickory's granddaughter told me herself theres no other people buried there. Theres another Clewis cemetery in the Greenswamp. Thats right next to Crusoe. I'd never heard that until just recently. Apparently theres a few grave stones and I sure hope I can read them. I have found several unmarked graves in two other cemeteries, Steve Long's and Evans, both in Crusoe. With the help of the funeral homes, the families and death certificates, I hope to rectify this problem by getting new markers made. The oldest cemetery I've been in so far is called "Mouth of the Juniper" its in Brunswick county just outside Crusoe over Juniper Creek bridge. I was there last week and found my great grandmothers grave. This is the cemetery thats believed to be the actual resting place of Lasper Long. Im sure you already know all this lol. Theres a civil war tombstone a cousin of mine put in Steve Longs cemetery just as a memorial for him, but all the family have said he's not there, he's in the Juniper Cemetery. His grandson told my father this right before he died. Ive found 12 graveyards in Crusoe. Theres a couple people who are buried on their own property. Ive found a few mistakes on different memorials I hope to get corrected. I have all the names and pictures of everyone. That was not easy. I fell twice, hurt my ribs and ankle, been sunburned, chased by dogs and pulled four ticks off me so far, but by God I know where my family members are, most of them anyway.ha ha The two floods caused a lot of damage, we're still trying to fix everything, but its been hard. Some things you can fix but some you cant. Thanks. Nancy Etheridge Varney.
