Bio Photo Adding memorials and photos are wonderful ways to commemorate the lives of individuals and preserve the histories of communities.

I'm happy to help by photographing graves in nearby Queens, NY cemeteries (Lutheran All Faiths, Mount Olivet), but please provide the complete grave/plot information. These cemeteries are very, very large, with hundreds of thousands of burials and miles of roads. It is almost impossible to locate graves without specific plot information.

If you spot any error in my submissions, or would like to suggest additional information, please use the edit option to report it to me. And please feel free to use any grave photos I have contributed in your family trees.

You transcribed this grave site, can you help me out. How can I tell what the individual's first name is or the birth or death dates. This kind of record isn't helping anyone. There is no information for me to link up to anyone. Can you be of further assistance?

Thanks Lisa, I'll take care of it. I saw that too. Whoever completed the death certificate made a mess of her parents names. I posted an obituary to her father;s memorial in 1903 that mentions her. His name was John G Gross, her mother was Helena, so that came close!

Since you go to the Mount Olivet Cemetery, I have two photo requests, Rosa Van Bank, plot is Sunnyside section, Grave # 748A please include her family if you can. and Hildegard Nurnberg Kromer, Oakwood section, plot 544A.I have a photo of her grave taken in 1937 when she was buried, but would like to see how it looks now. Thank you, Clytie

RE: John Kromer
yes i thought it would be nice to have at least a burial date, since he is a civil war veteran, but Brian gave me so much detail that i sent a message to you instead. My husband's aunt married a Karl Kromer in 1937, in Queens, and I thought he may be a relative, but I don't have any connection to him yet. I thought he may be a relative of yours, and you would be interested in the information. Anyway, having this is helpful to anyone who is a relative. Clytie
