I will gladly transfer memorials. The only exception would be if I am more closely related. My photos are your photos.

I have always been drawn to old cemeteries. I read and touch headstones as my way of remembering those who have passed on.

I am forever grateful to the following FAG members:

Janie #47619161, who located numerous documents for me about my great grandmother who died in 1912 and started my family tree on, giving me an incredible jump start on my ancestral research.

Clint Black #47536687, who was instrumental in helping me learn about my Wyoming ancestors from back when Cheyenne was still a territory.

Van Bender #47533106, who brilliantly took photos of all the damaged crypts at Saint Bernard Memorial Gardens after Hurricane Katrina. Without him I would have never known where my dear friend Dianne Agnes Bird May lays peacefully after a horrific death.

Dee #48005787, who went to an incredible amount of work to locate the gravesite of Hung Anh Truong #96905085 in order to be able to photograph his headstone. Hung, a Vietnamese teenager, is considered to be one of the first hate-crime victims in Houston, TX.

Judy H #46977685 who has filled over 30 of my photo requests in Milwaukee, and has even created memorials with photos of my family that I did not realize were buried in Milwaukee, and then transferred the memorials to me. Judy's work provided me with many dates of birth and death I was not able to find on my own.

And those who have transferred memorials of my ancestors to me, filled photo requests for me, and have taken their time to help me along the way.

I have had the privilege of documenting an old forgotten Jewish cemetery in Hallettsville, Texas, that is in deplorable condition, and over 150 graves in a Historic Black cemetery in Colorado County, Texas.

This person is already linked as a spouse to memorial# 175225657. When we receive spouse information for a person, we automatically generate a link on their spouse's page, too.

Not sure why the link isn't showing up

I took a photo of the headstone and add it to the memorial. That should answer your question. Let me know if he's the one you're looking for!

That grave is in a section where many Jewish families are buried.

As to death notice, a newspaper obit would be the best bet. Perhaps a funeral home record could come from obit.

Jewish burials at that time were mostly done through the temple in New Iberia. There was no place of worship in Franklin or Jeanerette.

Good luck!

Hi Maureen, I don't think you are crazy. I always find myself think of a man name Chick. He was a very nice man who I remember fondly. He was my school bus driver when I was in elementary school. Everyone loved Chick but he and I had a bond. Once I was standing at the bus stop and here comes Chick driving the bus and he drives right by me and I am in a state of shock and don't move because if I go back in the house I know I will be blamed and get in trouble for "missing the bus". I turn around and Chick had driven the bus around to the next street that would allow him to turn up my street and pick me up (basically like going around the block). The bond we shared was that Chick's previous job was as an ambulance driver; and he had told me he was my ambulance driver and he had been worried about m as I had essentially died in the ambulance. As I was put in the ambulance at a hospital and taken to another hospital I don't know how he knew it was me, but I think that is what made him a special man. SO no I don't think you are crazy for creating tree for your pediatrician.
