|I've been doing genealogy several years now.I find its something I can do alone if I want since I'm very shy and am not comfortable around alot of people.|
I have been visiting my own family's graves every Memorial Day weekend for years while other people are having parties and cookouts.I like to pay my respects for the people who are no longer here.I sometimes walk through the cemetaries and look at all the graves,especially the ones where a young person has died.I have noticed that there's alot of graves that aren't visited as there is nothing on them.I wish I could put a flower on everyone's grave.I enjoy the solitude of being in a cemetary while my husband worries about wild animals.I made it a family tradition for my brother and I to visit the gravesites.I always visit on Memorial Day weekends and any other time I can find time.I hope when its my time,someone will visit me and drop a flower or two.

FYI- Uncle Alton B. Lamoree was Grandma Eula's brother not her spouse. Burton B Lamoree was their father.
Thank you for the photos

I am the great granddaughter of Norman Ashley. I have the family bible from Henry and Fanny. There is the oldest son Henry Edson Ashley b.1837 d. 1882. I am unable to find any information on him. No marriage was entered for him in the bible. All the other children are listed. Are you a relative of this family and possibly have information?

|Carolyn Pulver Burke||Christina Pulver|
Hi, I'm Carolyn Pulver Burke and I'm a Pulver family researcher. Right now I'm working on George Pulver and his wife Christina Groat Pulver. I believe she is the Christina Pulver in Ghent Union Cemetery that you posted but I am trying to verify that.
I think the death date on the tombstone says 20 March 1842 but noted in Find A Grave it says 1812. Can you verify which is correct?
Also I noticed in the photo other tombstones around Christina. In your notes can you identify who is buried around Christina? I am trying to determine which George Pulver she is the wife of!!! Unfortunately, George is a common name in the family along with Peter and William. If you could give me the names of the people buried around her, it will give me a clue as to which Pulver family she married into. Thanks a million for your help on this.
