Gene, I have a photo of the Bivins family. Do you think you could identify those in the photo?
Blessings,

Thank you for pointing out the error. I have made the correction. If this is a relative, I will gladly transfer he and his wife to your care. Prefer a relative maintain when possible. Just send me request through edit button.

Common Ancestor

Hi, I am active on Findagrave.com and Ancestry.com. Today I came across your name (noting that he is a long time great grandfather)on John Strutt's Findagrave's site noted below. I am wondering if you have a tree on Ancestry. If you do, I would be interested in sharing information.
Thank you, Libby

Thanks Gene. I have that document and her death certificate which names her father, but not her mother. I am looking for something that identifies her mother as Sarah Johnson. The Mayflower Society is requiring it.

Hi Gene,
I see that you are related to Susanna. She is your 8th great grand aunt. Do you have any documentation on her parents?
Warm regards,
Dave Peterson

RE: Jonathan and Agnes Bivens
I can email an image of the 1830 census and other data that convinces me that my family is not descended from Elijah. There is no doubt that we go to Jonathan and Agnes. It is stuff that Cynthia did not have when I was in contact with her and Wilma.

RE: Jonathan and Agnes Bivens
I don't know John's parents yet but he was born in Maryland according to the 1850 census, the last he appeared in when he lived with his daughter Elizabeth near Jonathan and Agnes. From there I can follow him backward into Kentucky to 1810. When I first found him I was surprised that Cynthia Porcher and Wilma Linder (who first made the linkage with Elijah to me over 10 years ago) had missed him. Although I did have to read the 1830 census for the entire county (Daviess County, IN) since he was not in the index for some reason.
There were a number of Bivens marriages in this county and they were children of John. Several of these moved to Warren County, Illinois between 1845 - 1855 as did with Jonathan and Agnes. I was pretty excited to find John and fill in several blanks but nobody else seems to be aware of his existence.
