Ready or not, someday it will all come to an end.

There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours or days.

All the things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten, will pass to someone else.

Your wealth, fame and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance.

It will not matter what you owned or what you were owed.

Your grudges, resentments, frustrations, and jealousies will finally disappear.

So, too, your hopes, ambitions, plans, and to-do lists will expire.

The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away.

It won't matter where you came from, or on what side of the tracks you lived, at the end.

It won't matter whether you were beautiful or brilliant.

Even your gender and skin color will be irrelevant.

So what will matter? How will the value of your days be measured?

What will matter is not what you bought, but what you built.

Not what you got, but what you gave.

What will matter is not your success, but your significance.

What will matter is not what you learned, but what you taught.

What will matter is every act of integrity, compassion, courage or sacrifice that enriched, empowered or encouraged others to emulate your example.

What will matter is not your competence, but your character.

What will matter is not how many people you knew, but how many will feel a lasting loss when you're gone.

What will matter is not your memories, but the memories that live in those who loved you.

What will matter is how long you will be remembered, by whom and for what.

Living a life that matters doesn't happen by accident.

It's not a matter of circumstance but of choice.

Choose to live a life that matters.

Hi Kimmie, Thanks for the prayers. I've transfered all the Devitt's over to you.

RE: Devitts
Hi: I'll transfer Margaret. I have a large file on the Devitt family. Did I ever send it to you? If you want it, I'll send it to your email address. Chris

Hi: Refresh my memory. How are you related to Catherine Devitt? She belongs to my cousin's family.

RE: Thank you, again
Here are this names as they appear on the tombstone (Memorial):

Andrewe Devitt - Died June 23, 1833 - Aged 33 Years

Anthony Devitt - Died Mar 12, 1865 - Aged 45 Years

John Devitt - Died Dec 22 1872 Aged 5 Years

James Devitt - Died June 3 1865 - Aged 2 Years

Maggie Devitt - Died May 1 1885 - Aged 22 Years

Margaret Devit - Died June 15 1865 - Aged 80 Years - Mother of Anthony Devitt

I also have three photos of the full memorial from different sides. In addition there are small foot stones that just have two initials (like AD for Andrew Devitt or Anthony Devitt) they were fully buried and we poked around and uncovered three so far. We are being very careful so that we do not disturb anything but one was clearly visible so we cleaned it off.

Not sure how these tie into your family so just let me know if you want them or need them and what email address or posting you would like me to attach them to.

Thank you,

RE: Thank you
I also posted pictures for Patrick Devitt. Not sure if you wanted them. I can remove if you would like. But I did see the connection in the information. In addition we did see several other Devitt(s) at the cemetery and can fill other requests if you would like.
