Trip to Missouri Valley, Iowa area for Memorial Day...

White Cem, Cincinnati, Appanoose Co., Ia

Starting May 15th, I am going to put more emphasis on the repair work of the White Cemetery stones. This work will be delayed a bit by the upcoming Memorial Day trips I will be taking.

A big thank you, to those of you who have shown an interest in my work. Check back often to see what other things I am working on.

Current Activities - 5 May to 14 May

New York Cem, Millerton, Wayne Co., Ia

I have done some work at this cemetery digging up buried or partially buried gravestones. After digging them up, I have carried buckets of dirt over to the grave site, and then packed the dirt down around the gravestone. Hopefully this dirt will help keep the stone in place.

As of May 14th, I have dug up 9 stones. There are still 10+ stones in the central section or area, that are still lying on the ground or are completely covered. There are more than 20+ stones that are buried (that I know of) in the entire cemetery. I will work on these later this summer.

Thanks Ron for offer to transfer. No relation to me, but love to connect everyone. Keep memorials and I will continue to add links. Alberta

Thank you for your kind offer. I have just started working through this family line- very distant relatives and not a direct relation (sibling). I do not think I can add anything more. Thank you for linking this family together.

Hi, Ron; thanks for the updates and the offer! Harold is not in my biological family; he is in my University of Arizona Wildcat family. I keep a University of Arizona virtual cemetery.

I sent a text biographical update through the edit buttons, if you would like to include it on his page. Or if you prefer, you can transfer the memorial, and I can make the update. The text was as follows. Thanks again!

Graduated the University of Arizona, Class of 1933, in Chemistry; Alpha Tau Omega. Went to work for Standard Oil in San Francisco as a chemical engineer, where he married Louise Brooke Hoover (Hauselt) 14 May 1938; divorced 26 Apr 1941.

Newspaper accounts report Louise was a niece of President Herbert Hoover, and her father was head of engineering school at Stanford University. On 13 Dec 1952, Harold married Marie J Troell.

No problem Ron! There's no last name on the stone so it's understandable. Thanks for being so prompt on the edit. I can always count on you!

RE: Jones-Bryant transfers
Thank you Ron for transferring as well as all the other work you do in cemeteries across the country. Probably a thankless job for the most part, but I'm sure it's self fulfilling to know you've done much needed work.

Again...thanks and I'll work on what you've transferred and will let ya know about any others if I find them.

Ron, I'm in no hurry. Only at your convenience. Like you I'm kinda busy myself. Doing my daily "normal" projects and attending revival at church. So I understand. Whenever you get a chance is fine with me. I briefly looked at your endeavors on here and was impressed with your projects. Hopefully the descendants of the person's head stone you're repairing appreciate what you're doing.

Again, thank you!
