Bio and Links
I first started taking pictures of graves of only my relatives. I would return home do a little more research and discover that I missed a few. So out I would go to take a few more photos and the same thing would occur again. After my 3rd trip to the cemetery I decided I would just photograph the whole cemetery.

I try and do a little research on each of the stones that I photograph, using various resources. I use other people's trees for clues then try and prove those clues with documental evidence such as obituaries, census data or other records. It's a very enjoyable experience.

At first I also created a tree on Ancestry and was uploading the tombstone photograph's there as well but it became too labor intensive so now I only upload my relatives there. If you are would like to use my photographs for your family or upload them else where please do so. A link back to find a grave along with credit would be greatly appreciated. If you wish to use my photographs in a for profit venture please obtain written permission to do so.

My primary areas of interest for my own family lines are the names: Reifinger, Latshaw, Stufflet/Stofflet, Schlegel, Bower, Eck, Mertz, Day, Christman, Bock, Bennicoff, and Gruber in Berks, Pennsylvania, USA; Haney, Van Buskirk, Heller, Mills/Mill, Starner, Weiss, Hofner/Hoffner, Fetherman, Coslar, Sandt, Price, Houser, Werkheiser, and Brong in Monroe, Pennsylvania, USA.

I'm willing to transfer out of guidelines. If you are interested in doing more work on any of mine feel free to ask. Just take good care of each individual out of respect for their memory. If it is a relative of mine it may involve a little more discussion.

I have processed the edits you sent for Hattie Laubach. Could you please remove the death certificate you added to the memorial I created for her? We do not like them on our memorials and are more then willing to add any information in her bio section.

George Washington Altemose / Mary Alice (Weiss) Altemose

thanks for the update on George Washington Altemose (Find A Grave Memorial# 76692011).

But there are still 2 memorials for his wife, Mary Alice (Weiss) Altemose. Both were created by you in March and September 2011.

So please delete Find A Grave Memorial# 76692126 (created in September 2011) as it's a duplicate.

Find A Grave Memorial# 67124188 (created in March 2011) for the same person has all the photo information. So please keep this one.

Will you stop placing the death certificates on my memorials? They don't belong.

Memorial Transfers
Hello Reifinger,

I was hoping you would transfer my 2nd great uncle and his wife's memorial over to me to maintain. Their memorial numbers are : 66470671 & 66470719
William & Sarah ( Sally) Edmond's. I love my Edmond's side of the family and I'm currently doing extensive research on them. I will take great care of their memorials and would really appreciate it very much.

Best Regards

Birth Place: unknown
Death Place: unknown
Birth Place:
Berks County Pennsylvania, USA
Death Place: Oley Berks County Pennsylvania,

Perhaps you did not understand my previous note so I will try again.:
Lewis' d/c gives his place of death as Oley township. The selection in findagrave for Oley is not the township but the village. There are only 3 township selections for Berks in findagrave, Oley is not one of them. So when you do not see a "town" given in the d/c, default to the county only. Guesswork is not an option.
Thank you for all of your many DeTurk contributions

Please remove the death certificates from the memorials as they do not belong on them. If you would read my profile you would see that I have that statement on it. Thank you.

Death Place:
Berks County
Pennsylvania, USA
In the future please do not suggest the name of a town as in Oley above for a township. He did not die in the village of Oley but actually in Earlville, which is a part of the township. His DC only stipulates Oley township with no town mentioned. There are only 2 township selections for Berks County, Tulpehocken and Cumru.

Death Certificates on Memorials
I would appreciate it very much if you would remove death certificates from my memorials. I think it is in bad taste. Feel free to ask me to add information to the bio section of the memorial. If you do not remove the death certificates, I will contact findagrave to complain.
