I am from the Philadelphia area, but I also lived in Los Angeles for 10 years and Jacksonville, Florida, for 17 months.|
I've enjoyed Find A Grave for several years, but I really started getting into it after my Great Aunt Mary died. Among her things I found hundreds of photographs and historical documents on family members who died before I was born, as well as documents that gave me a new perspective on my grandparents, who raised me but died right after I graduated from high school.
Among the most treasured items I found are volumes of diaries kept by my Aunt Janey, who died of lupus the year before I was born. I wish so much that I could have met her in life.
I am now memorializing my family here on Find A Grave.
Most of my memorials are for my family and friends, but every now and then I will build a memorial for a stranger, someone I read about online or in the news, whose story touched me in some way. If I have added a memorial for your loved one, feel free to add pictures and/or email me if something needs to be corrected in their bio, or if you'd like me to add more information.

|KC Wescott||My father was on the plane|
My father Sgt 1st class Robert H Wescott Jr was on the plane in 1955 in Seattle. I have researched this crash since my dad died in Vietnam in 1969.
If you want more information, I have it.
My email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hope we can compare notes. I am located in NY.

I came across Mary on a virtual stroll and had a question.
The dates show that she and her brother, John were both born in 1910 to the same mother but about 2 months apart. His stone has the same date and Mary's only has the year. Is her month and day wrong or is there something I'm not considering? Just curious.

Thank you for the Birthday token for my precious mom. Hugs, Ann

|Honoring Their Lives||Oops|
I just noticed my mistake, Mr. Hoder was his step-father. I never can figure out how to include 'Steps' in the link, perhaps Find.a.Grave could include another parent choice in their link box?
|Honoring Their Lives||Query|
I was just looking through some of the memorials on the 'On-line Virtual Cemetery' and came across the memorial you established for a Mr. Ellison. The parents listed for him note a Michael Hoder as his father, could that be his maternal Grandfather as the surname or years doesn't match his? Thanks for all the great work you have done here at Find.a.Grave!

I have an additonal photo of the marker for Mr. Ellison but there is no room on the memorial. If you sponsor the memorial (it only cost a one time fee of $5)I can input the other photo. Please let me know if you are willing to do this as the additional photo is of his name.
