History and especially family history have always been important to me. As a child I used to interview towns people about their histories, and I was forever asking my grandparents questions about their parents. I wish I still had my notes from way back then. Old cemetaries are beautiful places with stories waiting to be told. I want to help tell these stories, keeping the past alive.
I have been struggling with unknotting my Cox family, pushing on to find more about my Lacy connections, and Travis connections all rooted around Bangor Iowa. Many were of the Friends faith. All these famliies represent pioneers of early Iowa.
