I am not sure if you are from the area and know more about this John Whaley. But...do you happen to know who John Whaley's parents were. Perhaps any of his siblings, wife, children names? Thank you, Sheilah

That is neat to hear. I've done a lot of Burchett research over the years. Thomas and Anna Burchett are my third great grandparents. I've seen notes about Armstead Burchett before (maybe great grandmother's typed out papers). If you ever need information on Thomas and Anna's line, feel free to ask and I'll try to help if I can.

I've done it again. I duplicated the above named. I have sent an email to Find-A-Grave requesting that the two memorials be merged. Yours is the oldest so you will retain your posting.
I finding a few of these by going through all of my West Lawn postings.

Hello, I happened across a few of your memorials for the Burchett family, buried in the old family cemetery at Stambaugh, Ky. Are you related to those Burchett's? My great grandmother's was a Burchett. Her parents (Henry and Lizzie), uncles (Noah, Julius, Landrum), aunt (Rosa), grandparents (Tom and Annie), and several cousins are buried there. My great grand uncle was the man responsible for buying Thomas and Annie Hite Burchett's tombstones. I've helped clean that cemetery a few times, and used my camera to document all the graves there. Great grandma made a list of all the family using a typewriter, so I was lucky enough the even know the graves marked with only fieldstones.
Are you some of the family? I'm really big into researching my Burchett family, and I've been hoping to get in touch with any of my kin. I'm working on tracing out all the family (they spread out all over the US). If so, I'd love to hear back from you, and thank you for your time.
May i use your photos in my tree? Thx, DeWitt

WOW, I didn't expect that! I knew there were Riders in the family, so when I started receiving your transfers I looked in my Ancestry Family Tree and they were. That was so awesome of you to just send them to me. I have encountered some wonderful people on this site and you are certainly one of them. (ಠ‿ಠ)

You don't have the correct memorial for Elizabeth Woten Goings Shonkwiler Huffman. Elizabeth married James L Huffman after Jacob Shonkwiler and she's not buried at Owl Creek. The correct find a grave memorial is Burial:
Dennison Chapel Cemetery
