Bio

I am a librarian at Calhoun Community College in Decatur, Alabama. I have a very interesting family history which includes an ancestor (Beeson) who was a captain in the Revolutionary War and another (Parris) who was apparently the brother of a famous minister in Salem, Massachusetts. Though I have known about this for some time, I have been too busy to dabble much in genealogy for too long, but now as I approach retirement, I'm ready to dive in. I have pictures, I have visited grave sites, I have a story to tell. I have said I have old genes because I am the baby of my family and both my parents were the babies of their families, so it's like it's not too many generations till way back there in my family history. I look forward to sharing more of it here.
