I live in Portland Oregon. I met Lesley, a contributor to Find a Grave, while cleaning my parents markers last year. Since then I've been trying to match old family photos to grave memorials in the hope future family historians can enjoy them. I'm interested in these familes: Knox, Olson(Ollila), Witikka, Crooks, Fisher, Schenck, Stout, Hoyl and Simi|

I am researching Crooks family history for my grandson who is a descendant of John Turley Crooks and Aaron Crooks. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who photos or information on the Crooks family. I know about John T. being a legislator and Aaron being murdered near Prineville. Looking for any other information. Thanks!

|Carol Green||David Hoyl and Nancy. Pealed Hoyl|
I recently learned this couple was not actually buried at Carlock Cemetery, but were buried at Old Providence Cemetery. In a letter written by their great granddaughter in 1951, she stated that a grandson had seen the small cemetery where they were buried in bad shape and so moved their grave stone to a cemetery closer to where he lived. It is actually only a few miles away, and was probably the only reason their headstone survived.
Do you happen to know where their daughter, Sarah Hoyl Green, wife of James Sterling Green is buried? I have not had much luck locating them. Three of their children who died at an early age are buried where her parents, David and Nancy, are - Old Providence - and it's quite possible they are there, too. The problem is, there are no remaining markers, and I have only a record of 8 burials.
Any help would be most appreciated!

I can only find a town named Jefferson in Marion County, Oregon. My search turned up this. I lived in Oregon most of my life and now I'm confused.

I thought so, as it is kind of confusing to people and at first I didn't even think about checking the edit tab when the program began when Ancestry took over.
I would love to have Clarence transferred to me,thank you so much.
I was born in Eugene and lived there until moving to Washington in 1991, I love Oregon and miss my hometown. Washington is just as beautiful, but the coast in Oregon is beyond compare.
