We welcome records from the Hectors, Odoms, Vinsons and Maddox families in Cleveland County, NC who are assisting us in locating our Native American ancestors. We love our Stovall family in Seattle, and all of those is our family tree living in California, Las Vegas; the Sims from Mobile, AL & the Davenports from Jacksonville and Pensacola, FL.

I sent some edits via Findagrave. According to his death certificate he is buried at Mourner's Valley Church Cemetery in Buckingham, VA. His name is listed as John Coleman Booker. His parents were James Booker & Eliza Jones. Reid's Funeral Home, Buckingham, VA. He was a retired saw mill worker.

Fannie Barrow - Oconee Baptist Church Cemetery
Hi, Can you give me any more info regarding the Oconee Baptist Church cemetery? Fannie Barrow died in 1786 according to the memorial #77740275 and the Church was founded in 1891. Am I missing something here? I'm just trying to figure out more info on Fannie Kennedy Barrow. Anything you can share would be appreciated. Sheri

Hello Dee, Charles Mathis was my great grandfather.Born in 1864 near Rome, Ga.Died in 1901.He married Ada Scott, who for some reason was called Big mother.I remember here as a child.The sad part was his father Elisha was killed about the same time he was born at the battle of Kennesaw Mt.This is all I know. Hello Dee, My name is Lawrence Schaedel.My great grandfather was Charles Mathis .Any info would be greatly appreciated.Was he killed in a train accident? My sisters just had a DVD made of old flims. They were of ADA Mathis Corley,her 2 daughters,my grandmothers 2 daughters, my sister and myself.From the early 50s. By the way I have ADA Mathis Corley obituary. Thanks, Lawrence Schaedel
