Long after you are gone
Quiet times remain
Bright days still shine
But a hurt fills the place
Now that you are gone
This poem was taken from a tombstone I found in a cemetery. I think this poem sums up how anyone that loses someone they love can relate to. When I read it, I immediately related it to my grandmother. She was the person I was closest to and her death left a hole in my heart. She is and always will be missed. Thank you to the author of this poem, you have summarized how I feel.

|gardcc||Correction to Mary Anne King Gardiner|
This is not Mary Anne KING Gardiner. Mary Anne King was married to John Douglas Gardiner and she died in Boston, Massachusetts on Dec 1, 1885 at the home of her son William who was born in 1834.
This Mary's maiden name was the same as her married name: Gardiner. She was born in Rhode Island and was a cousin to John Rhodes Gardiner, her husband.

Sorry abt. the delay in getting back. I knew him growing up and the family. He ran a garage and vehicle inspection station behind his home for many years. I was certain that I had the cem correct looking at the layout up there w/o the benefit of any real physical boundaries. Glad we got it right.

|Joanne Gross Vaughn||Paul Paul|
How sure are you that Paul Paul is the son of Regina Alspach & John Paul.
Perhaps he is the son of Jacob & Catherine Paul ??
|Mary Helen Allen||George B. Cox Error|
The information on George B. Cox in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Howard County, MO should have the death date as 1913, not 1933. It is clear to be seen on the visible tombstone. Family members agree on the death date as 1913.

You got an excellent picture of the grave marker for Rose Annie Hazel # 11262408 in the Kenton Methodist Cemetery. In fact, her head stone is no longer readable, so that photo you took is very valuable!
Unfortunately, you attached the pic to Roseanna Hazel's memorial (#11262407) instead. They were definitely two different people. If you right click on the picture and choose "Save picture as," you should be able to save it back to your desktop and then upload it properly on Rose Annie's memorial.
As I said...her marker is no longer readable...covered entirely with black mold...so if you'd be willing to take a little extra effort to put your wonderful photo on the proper memorial, I'm sure her family members would be most grateful.
Many thanks for all you do for Find-a-Grave!

Thank you for transferring the memorial for Richard Hughes to me.
|Emily Dorsett||RE: Javan Jackson Photo|
Thanks for the message. Actually, if you take a picture of a photo it can be blown up a little bit so more details can be shown! I use my DSLR to take old photos and I can make them quite big!
|Emily Dorsett||Javan Jackson Photo|
I am wondering how to get a larger version of the photo of Javan & Mary Jane Jackson. Javan is my great-great grandfather. I have a photo of his son (Frank Jackson) and they look so much a like, but I would love to get a bigger version.

Lately I've been seeing several of your memorials and/or headstone photos in the Delaware area, particularly at Immanuel Union cemetery in Cheswold, Kent Co, DE, and I'm curious: are you related to the families there? I'm descended from these families on my father's side and was just wondering if there's any connection, possibly through the Jacksons?
Anyway, good luck with your research.
Happy New Year,
