I live in Marshall Co. AL, and have for some 59 years. Like most people on find a grave I love genealogy. I have been using this site for some time in finding my family. Someone asked me if I had ever thought about helping find a grave with taking pictures. I challenge you to join in this group of people. Find an old cemetery, and start taking pictures. These old stones are not going to hold up to nature.|
My family list includes: Birdsong, Brumbeloe, Cobb, Cornelius, Culpepper, Davis, Dobbins, Edmonson, Garrett, Gilbreath, Gorham, Jordan, Larmore, Martin, Pruitt, Roden, and Sims.
You need to claim a photo request before you take a picture. This way no one else goes out of their way to take the picture and the photo request will be fulfilled. Please do not post a picture on a memorial that has been claimed by someone else. The photo request will not go away when you do this, and you do not get credit for the pictures.
I have chalked stones in the past, but due to rules brought to my attention I will not be able to chalk stones any more. Please see: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?searchArg=chalk&page=listFaqs#96
Fill free to send any edits you may need by using the edit button. I will be glad to transfer any memorial I have opened unless they are my family. Any picture I have taken you can copy, I just ask that you give find a grave the credit. This is a wonderful site for genealogy study.

"DEMCE" BOBO #8256791
Thanks so much for the photo! I can see where his name might look like Demier on the rock, but after comparing it with the other words on the rock, I think the word is Demce (his nickname).
The "r" in Demier doesn't look anything like the "r" in the word "born". It does look like the "e" in the word "died".
The "e" in Demier doesn't look like the "e" in the word "died", to me it looks like a "c."
If you'll take another look at the photo of the rock, I think you'll see what I mean. Thanks again for the photo, it shows an important feature that the other photos don't show. -Bobbie
Thank you so much for the photos, it means a lot to me! If I can ever return the favor in the Chattanooga area, please contact me and I'm happy to oblige.

Hey Nancy, I found a survey of the cemetery done back in 1965, says 2006 for some reason. I'll add the link to the site at the bottom maybe it can help.
|Kevin & Robin Spence||RE: Loyd family at Copeland Bridge|
Thank You Nancy. I wish I was close enough to have it repaired. He was one of my brick walls when I first started doing genealogy back over 40 years ago. His father was killed in the Civil War and his mother remarried. He kept the name Loyd when all the rest of our family changed it to Lord and mostly Loard. One of his descendents contacted me and we finally added him and his offspring back into the family. Just a little history on him.

Did you notice the J.H. Newman at the bottom of the stone, just curious as to the connection. It's almost like this J.H. Newman is validating the dates. I don't recall ever seeing this before. This little cemetery is way out in the wild, I hope to find out why it's named Hadder.
Thanks for your contributions,

Hi, I am in the process of adding a some photos for Mr. Brumbelow. I almost didn't find it, I'm not sure if it was an upright monument at one time, but now it is flat and level with the soil. I photographed all the markers in the cemetery, there are many which are marked unknown. It will be a couple of days for me to bounce my photos against the markers already entered.

You did it! As my grandfather used to say: "We are happier than a jackass eating thistles (Translation: We are very pleased to receive the photo of his tombstone.) Thank you for sticking with it. The obit is an important extra benefit. Thank you.....

OK, updates have been made. I am now told David & Mariah are buried with her parents in King's. Villie Abney Vogel is their daughter and is buried in Brown Co., TX. Sorry to put you through so much trouble. Appreciate your work.
|acybersleuth||Your gravemarker photo for Delmar Jay Harvey memorial|
Hope you are doing well!
You have a photograph on Delmar Jay Harvey's memorial, # 351356660, of his joint grave marker with his wife, Geraldine.
Geraldine passed away today. I have created a memorial for her tonight, # 175212280.
When you have time, would you please post a copy of their joint grave marker on her memorial also?
Thank you so much!
