William A. Mullen

William A. Mullen, of Lowell, died Saturday morning at St. John's Hospital after an extended illness, at the age of 69. He was the husband of Audrey (Haden) Mullen.
Born in Lowell on Nov. 10, 1920, the son of the late Frank and Florence (Tice) Mullen, he had been a lifelong resident of this city.
A veteran of World War II, Mr. Mullen served with the United States Army.
For 26 years, he had been employed by the Lowell Covered Rubber Thread Company, and for the last five years, prior to his retirement in 1984, he had been employed by U.S.C.I. Medical Instrument in Billerica.
A communicant of St. Margaret's Church, Mr. Mullen was a member of the Walker Rogers Post 662.
A well-known soloist, he had sung with Wally Sarmento and was a member of the local Ink Spots. For years, he had been on the Man on the Street show with WLLH radio's Tom Clayton.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his three daughters, Barbara Reams of Lowell, Colleen Adams of Lowell, and Sharon Haberman of Westford; his son, Francis Mullen of Clinton Corners, N.Y.; four sisters, Marguerite Feteay and Ilene Wood of Lowell, Hazel Purcell of Dracut, and Mary Dixon of Ill.; two granddaughters, Melissa Reams of Lowell and Kelley Haberman of Westford; four grandsons, William and Keith Adams of Lowell, Kurtis Haberman of Westford, and Corey Mullen of New York; and several nieces and nephews.

MULLEN - William G. Mullen died last night at the home of his parents, Frank and Mary, 186 Charles street, at the age of five years and five months.

William Gould Woodruff is my gg Grandfather. Documentation in his military records state that he was born in Skaneateles, NY.
