Bio and Links
Bio Photo Lifetime resident of
West Chester, Pennsylvania.

I am the second of 5 sons born to Gordon W. Smith,
(West Goshen Policeman) and Marianne Fazzini Smith -
(Nurse at Chester County Hospital). My brothers are Kevin, Ken, Kirk, & Kyle. I owned and operated Smith's Locksmiths on N Walnut Street in West Chester from 1982 to 2001.

I have an ability to fix things, and have been called a "workbench" engineer. I have also been told I have common sense...that is perhaps the compliment I value most.

I belong to WC Masonic Lodge #322, as do my brothers, father, uncles, cousins, & so far a few nephews. I am the Past Grand Tall Cedar, of WC Forest #22, Tall Cedars of Lebanon.

I am currently in process of writing a book about my father and his exploits as a policeman,"My Pop, the COP" and currently have three books in print, and another on several of West Chester's historic residents that have streets there named in their honor is in the works too. Look for them here:

If I can help with any photos or research in and around West Chester, or help you fix something feel free to contact me.

Hello Keith: I volunteer at the Chester County Historical Society. Today we got this request from the Oxford Historical Association asking if we had contact information for you. If you would contact Ken Woodward at 484-667-2065 he would like to speak to you about Charlotte. Please also let me know so we can cross it off of our things to do list. I thought I had your email address from previous encounters, but it's not in my address book.

your 6/2014 updates to historic tour info on 147 N. Broadway St. Milwaukee, WI
Hi Keith,
My name is Ginger and I'm writing you today to learn more about your webpage updates from June 16, 2014 regarding the Clemens H. Kalvelage Warehouse located at 147 N. Broadway Street in Milwaukee, WI.

I live in this building and am sad to report that a development company is soliciting the building owners association to buy the historic treasure with stated intentions of demolition & use of the land for some MIAD project. Since learning this potentially devastating news, I am trying to gather as much data, history, time lines, owners, events, relationships, interested parties, pertinent details, etc to ready a case for taking up the fight over its unnecessary destruction. Unfortunately, I feel I am a lone soldier to this end. The other parties in the association are all quite interested and willing to take their sales offering gains and rid themselves of the perceived difficulties, liabilities or overall 100+year old building headaches. Apparently, association bylaw may only require 3 out of the 4 respective members to vote a majority and approve any sale.
If I could, I'd buy another flat in the building just to balance those odds but, as it stands, success in that way is a David vs Golliath scenario.
I'm writing to you in any hope you may be able to help me flush out this buildings relevance or may be able to lend me research sources for later.
Any info is appreciated, no matter how remote or small.
Please accept my sincere appreciation in advance,

RE: Plummer E. Jefferis
Hi Keith,

I have three men named Plummer E. JEFFERIS on my tree:

1) My ancestor, who you found: b. 17 Nov 1828 Chester, PA, d. 18 Nov 1908 Vallejo, Solano, CA

2) His nephew, b. 27 Dec 1851 in possibly Newlin, Chester, PA, d. 6 Jun 1925

3) Grandson of #2, b. 16 Aug 1916

Do any of these sound plausible?

I'd love to learn more about your book - the JEFFERIS, PLUMMER and EDWARDS families came to America very early on and research is very challenging!

Re: John H. Borden
Hello Keith,

I can not link Joseph Emley Borden to his father because I did not create Joseph's memorial. Only that person can link him. You need to contact them and have them link his father (John H. Borden).
