Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi! Please take a moment to stop by and visit my Dad, he died June 13, 2013 and I miss him terribly.

Thank you so much to everyone who leaves flowers for Dad! It means a lot to me to know he's remembered.

If you have a few moments, stop on by to visit some of my family, they're all very dear to me!

Grandma and Grandpa Gantley, I can't believe they've been gone so long. Aunt Eileen, too, who was total awesomesauce. Jeff was married to my cousin, he was always a lot of fun and we were shocked when he left us so suddenly.

Q & Ra are my birds, I miss them screeching to greet me when I get home and the joy of their company.

The Black Turken is the bird in my profile picture

I've always enjoyed looking for graves and hunting for cemeteries. This has also extended to peoples' virtual cemeteries, I go through a lot of them. It's always interesting, like those in the real world. (I should also mention I love reading peoples screen names, too, some are so cute, clever, or otherwise interesting!)

I've visited most of the graves I've listed here and but I AM NOT related to most of them, if you want to edit/add a bio. on anyone I've listed please contact me and I will be happy to do so. I'd also be happy to transfer memorial ownership.

I wish that all the memorials on here had a bit of a bio, an obit, a note from family or a scrap from a newspaper. So that you, the reader, could have even a tiny glimpse into the life that is gone. Same with family links, it makes me sad so many memorials have no links, no bios, no flowers. I have been working at finding out anything I can for everyone I've added, but so many of these people are simply a mystery.
A while ago someone asked me why I do this, why do I spend time in cemeteries, taking pictures of graves, researching families that aren't my own, adding them here, linking and transferring, talking to people and finding out more. Ask me every day and I imagine I'd have a different answer every one, but in the end it boils down to love. I love what I do, and I love my family, and know that everyone was once loved, loved others, and just because they have died doesn't mean that they don't deserve the love of the living, even if it isn't a relative or friend.

Sites that are a huge wealth of information!

Death is beautiful when seen to be a law, and not an accident - It is as common as life.
~Henry David Thoreau

Even death is not to be feared by one who has lived wisely.

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
~1 Corinthians 15:55

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
~ John 15:13

Death is a delightful hiding place for weary men.

"Mayst thou rest soundly and quietly, and may the light turf lie easy on thy bones."
~Albius Tibullus

"My heart has joined the Thousand, for my friend stopped running today."
~Richard Adams, Watership Down

It seemed to Hazel that he would not be needing his body any more, so he left it lying on the edge of the ditch, but stopped for a moment to watch his rabbits and to try to get used to the extraordinary feeling that strength and speed were flowing inexhaustibly out of him into their sleek young bodies and healthy senses. "You needn't worry about them," said his companion. "They'll be all right--and thousands like them. If you'll come along, I'll show you what I mean." He reached the top of the bank in a single, powerful leap. Hazel followed; and together they slipped away, running easily down through the wood, where the first primroses were beginning to bloom.
~Watership Down, Richard Adams

looking for info on Worden
Hello, I found your Find A Grave Memorial# 49510500
on Hannah Worden who died Feb 23, 1831. It states that she is the wife of John Charlotte. Could you elaborate on the Charlotte part? I am aware of a Hannah LNU married to a John Worden, but am wondering where the Charlotte comes from. Thank you.

This is going way back, but there's a photo request for this memorial in St. Agnes in Onondaga County that you did way back in 2008. Just wondering if you would have gotten the info from a headstone. If so, I'll add to my list to look for next time I'm there. Thanks, MK

Thomas family at Gilbert Mills cemetery
Thank you for making memorials and photos for this family. I added some edits for them, and am working on more details, links and proofs. They are part of my family, found in the German Flatts area and surrounds before some of them emigrated to Ontario Canada and others to Illinois. If they aren't related to you, it would be wonderful to have them in my care as I work through the proofs and links.
They are Jane Thomas (my 4th gg) #16591577,
Elias Thomas #16591549
Electa Thomas #16591577
Joseph Wilson #16571772
Ruth Thomas Wilson #16571728
That would be such a gift.
Thank you!

Good Intentions
You may be an odd bird, but I enjoyed reading your bio. Best reason given for graving, hands down.

My best to you.
