My interest in genealogy and appreciation of cemeteries came from my maternal grandmother. I belong to the Society of Mayflower Descendants through her ancestors. These ancestors, to date, are Henry Samson (and the aunt who raised him, Ann Cooper Tilley, who had no children of her own), Edward Fuller, James Chilton and his daughter Mary (who married John Winslow), and Richard Warren. More to come, possibly.|
I thought Grandma's genealogy was well researched and documented, but I only knew a fraction of it.
Very little is known about Grandpa's ancestry and that continues to be the challenge. His Bunting and Murphy ancestry, however, is known and documented in Livingston and Washtenaw County MI.
I have met many friends and relatives in the process of unraveling my family's past, and it's become a terrific hobby. I don't know what I did in my spare time before.
Some of the names I research are Gardner, Bunting, Murphy, Eastman, Sprout, Damon, Scovill, Collins, Reed, Hinchey, Lassen, and last but not least, Rasmussen.
On my husband's side I research Jacques and Boucher.
Good luck in all your genealogy travels. The road is so exciting. If the work I have done on Find A Grave, with my husband's supportive agreement, helps even one person, our goal will be met.
DNA has really helped us, personally, to find out who we are. We thought we knew, but there were many interesting and mysterious elements that we would never have dreamed of in a million years.

Thank you so much for kind words, Raleigh, and you're surely welcomed. There is another Hinchee by them...I'm still sorting, but will try to figure out and post soon.

Do you have an obituary for Charles? Or could you cite where you got your information on his suicide? Thank you!

I'm really interested in this family and seeing it get straightened out since I was involved in the snafu in the first place! lol I'll be watching Mary Ann's memorial!
I've researched and sent over 900 edits in just under 3 1/2 years while searching for my family. I like to see a complete memorial, where they started, where they ended up, and what happened in between. It makes them all a little more real.
I'd offer to help you if you need to try and find anything else, but now you have the same resource I do!

I would have loved to photo more in Kellar Cemetery as it is small and hidden away. Unfortunately, we live in Phoenix, AZ.
