Her name was Edith Howard Cook and she died on Oct. 13, 1876 at the age of 2 years, 10 months and 15 days, according to the nonprofit Garden of Innocence, which used a team of volunteers to scour old records in a yearlong effort to identify her.

"A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory."
Leonard Nimoy 1931 - 2015
We inherit from our ancestors gifts so often taken for granted. Each of us contains within ... this inheritance of soul. We are links between the ages, containing past and present expectations, sacred memories, and future promises.
Edward Sellner
SO much of what is placed on Find A Grave is searchable, but in order to assist others in their research, I also use

Disasters strike us all, and it helps to put family moves into context when they abruptly move, relocate or - frankly - just disappear!

Please take a look, it's an interesting site.
In the eastern United States you can often "discover" old cemeteries by the daffodils.

Daffodils are not a feast for deer, they multiply and spread on their own and were often the flower of choice to plant at grave sites.

And I love the sunny, bright daffodil, reminding me the long winter will soon be over and I can get out again to seek and document ancestors - both my own and for others living too distant to be there in person.

If I have "planted" a daffodil on a memorial, it is one which I have directly touched or made an addition.

My Find A Grave 'anniversary' date is 12 June 2007 - All things must change. The new Find A Grave has begun on Sunday 9 July 2017. My current impression is too complicated, too busy looking.

"Remember me in the family tree, my name, my days, my strife; then I'll ride upon the wings of time and live an endless life."

Mom has this one listed as Elizabeth "Lizzie " May
wife of Perry Franklin Reams

There child Mary Catherine Reams July 17 1876 - June 7 1958 has mother listed as Elizabeth May. When you find this birth this one document has several of our people on it. I saved document to my computer so I can check it.

Also this line in moms tree tie back to Lem Reams

I think Mom might have her wrong or she was a Reams that married May.

Let me know what you think

That she has to go back out there and get more pictures of family stones.
