I live almost in New Millport, I have family buried at The Bloomington Cemetery. Over last summer I organized a team to build a Memorial Wall at the Bloomington Cemetery for the Veterans. I got all work done on the Wall donated. Stop up and see it some time. I think we did a pretty good job.

Bloom's in New Millport
Kathy: Wanted to let You know that Greg Slope got the Photo's of Amos and Mary Bloom, also John and Annie Bloom and Mayme Bloom. We now can put these on the "To Done List" and You will not have to look for these.

More Photo Requests
Kathy: I have added the last 12 Photo requests for the New Millport Cemetery - This cleans everything up. Sorry this has taken a while due to the fact that I kept running out of Photo Requests - but I felt that it was important that You got the credit for the Photo's.

Hope that You are not angry with me because this took a while. You have done great work and know that You have made several people happy in the process. Thanks for Your Great Work.

Regards - Tom Schoening

Kathy.. thank you so much for your effort and hard work to find these photos for our family! Tom Schoening left me a message as well about the work you have been undertaking... it's such a blessing to many people! Would you mind if I placed your photos is our family tree? I will give you credit as the photographer. Thanks again for helping us and many others! Take care... Dana

Erhard's with a problem
Kathy: Think that they are all on now.. The following are the Memorial Number and Your Photo Number

David Erhard 108424650 DSCN0205

George Erhard 108424868 DSCN0208

Catharine Erhard 108518760 DSCN0208

Unknown Erhard 108478606 DSCN0209

Catherine Erhard 108518840 DSCN0200

George Erhard's stone can be read, so it is really down to four.

David's Stone has sunk so dates can not be read,
there are more than one David Erhard so I can not use process of elmination.

Catharine (stone is joined to George) it is very difficult to read.

Unknown Erhard - This stone is almost gone and no way to read

Catherine - Stone appears to have faded and I can not figure out everything on there.

A number of years back, I talked with Roger Thurston (he lives in New Millport) and he has the records for the New Millport Cemetery. He calls it a map. At the time I was only looking for Schoening's. He is a really nice guy and he might be able to give some information that would clear up the above people. Hope You might be able to call him. If You do would like to know if Amos Burchfield Bloom and his first wife Mary Lydia (nee Schoening) Bloom are listed.

Just for general knowledge about how many graves are in this Cemetery.

Kathy: Thought it was time for an update. Most have been added and just down to a handful to resolve. Have added over 40 people so far.

I am not a direct descendent of the Erhard's - However my Grand Uncle (Lester Schoening) was married to Vada Irene Erhard who was related to many of these people. Also Phillip Erhard was married to Mary Schoening who was the daughter of my 3rd Great Grand Uncle (Frederick Schoening aka FW Schoening). It is interesting because the Erhard's are a bridge to two sides of my family.

Something that I thought You would find interesting is that two photo's You took were of David and Robert Schoening (DSCN0192 and DSCN0190) look at those photo's and then find David and Robert in the New Millport Cemetery. Robert's stone continues to deteroiate. David's is a matter of how the Sun Light hit's it. But there is a photo on David's that was taken in the mid 90's and You will see how much his stone has faded over the Years.

We are singing off the same sheet of music and Yes when I get time they may be some people for the other cemeteries. I really appreciate Your efforts and look forward to working with You on this and other projects.

Warm regards - Tom Schoening

Erhard's etc
Kathy - This is no burden - In fact I really enjoy this. Taking time to confirm dates and find obits to make sure the links are correct.

Have added 9 (nine) more to New Millport this morning - One problem I'm out of Photo Requests for a few days (hit the max of 20 per week)

Appreciate Your Work and Efforts - These "OLD" Headstones are the reason I got started on Find A Grave. Some of these may be our last chance to document Who They Are, before the deteriation removes them from our sight. This makes YOU a Historian and don't ever forget that. We really need to get as many as possible posted before they fade away.

Time to get off the soap box

Will be in touch in a few days.

Kathy: Have added Abraham A and Margaret C Bloom,
William A and Lydia Bloom, James R and Margaret Bloom and added Photo Requests which show Your Photo Number.

Think this complete's the Bloom's that You found.

Thank You Very Much
