Bio and Links
Bio Photo First and foremost, I have no desire to be the highest contributor, but to hopefully assist in filling in the gaps that may someday be priceless to others. My husband and I have spent many hours photographing grave markers & documenting memorials and the best reward is when a family member finds them. We can no longer walk cemeteries to photograph markers, but I still add memorials from time to time.

Obituary photos are copyrighted. so, PLEASE do NOT add these photos to any memorials I have created. Please read FAQ under "Working with Photos":
General Guidelines:
"ONLY post photos for which YOU hold the copyright (meaning photos you took)!!!

In addition, PLEASE DO NOT add death certificates. They are only as accurate as the information given by the informant, and they very often contain inaccurate information. Also, some of the information can be disturbing to some people.

Also, I will not add obituaries unless they are my relation, so PLEASE DO NOT ask me to add them. You will be wasting your time and mine.

Should you find that I have made a mistake entering information or have duplicated an entry please let me know and I will remedy the situation as soon as possible.

Please be sure the edits you submit are accurate. I have made several changes from edit requests and found out through other edit requests, the previous information was incorrect. I do not research submitted edit requests unless there is something that appears to be incorrect.

Finally, please do NOT add obits, death records, etc. on the "Add a Flower or Note" Option. This is against Find-A-Grave's policy.

Golda Judd Killebrew
The duplicate memorial for Golda Judd Lemmons Killebrew has been deleted along with all the family connections that were there. It would be nice to have Golda linked back to her siblings and parents, if you would be so kind. So sorry for the duplication.

Laura Fickas Brosend
Thanks for your note indicating that Laura's death certificate shows her father as Wilson and her mother as Zarroda.

Her father is Adam W. on the marriage record when he and Zorida Sprinkle married in 1854. He is Adam W. on the 1860 census; A. W. on the 1870 census; and then Wilson on the 1880 and 1900 censuses. I'd say his full name was Adam Wilson Fickas.

Her mother's name has numerous spelling variations. Her name was spelled Zarady on the 1850 census and that was probably what she was called. Whether the "correct" spelling is Zorida as on her marriage record or Zaroda as on the 1860 and 1870 censuses or some other variation, we'll probably never know. One of Z's other children's DC even shows her name as Zerildra. The fun never ends. That's what makes genealogy such a great hobby.

Duplicate Memorials

Have you taken over the memorials created by searcher (#46510188)? She created a memorial for my husband's uncle in the Immanuel Cemetery & He is actually buried with his wife and daughter in the Weddleville Lutheran Cemetery. You can verify that the are both the same person although the firs and second names are reversed.
