I'm happy to transfer any memorials of people I'm not related to.
FIRST please read the FAQs here: Transfers
Then click on the EDIT tab at the top right corner of the memorial and then click
"Suggest any other correction or addition". This will generate an e-mail from Find A Grave with links to the memorial and your member page... less chance for errors this way.
I'm only human and I make mistakes (especially when my "Coffee Low-Level Warning Light" is blinking); so any Edits or additions are gladly welcomed. ^_^
For corrections/additional facts for a memorial,
see here: Corrections
Then click on the EDIT tab at the top right corner of the memorial. It's easy to make edits to Dates/Places, Family Links, Name, Plot/GPS location, and Marker Transcription. For Bio info or to notify me of a duplicate, you still need to click "Suggest any other correction or addition".

Wow, I had no idea. I feel really stupid. I never even thought it would be restricted to only some, given that they all had it at some point. But it makes a lot of sense. Sorry and thank you.

Thanks - that might help locate them. I didn't even realize there were two.

Many thanks Roy, I will contact my Cousin Gladys in Guys Mills, Crawford Co, PA later today. I will let you know if we are successful.

Thanks Rich. The correction is now done...and no, I did not get the correction; although I do recall approving his middle name earlier this month. So, I don't know what happened, but glad it finally got fixed. Best regards.

My cousin Gladys in PA has a fine photo of CPL Norris, in uniform (notes on photo). Official US Army photograph. We wish to give it to a relative. CPL Norris is not related to us, he was a friend of of Cousin Gladys' late husband. Can you help us ?

Thelma died in 1992 and I believe she is buried with him. I am in the process of getting an obituary for her. I will post a memorial in the meantime in the same cemetery.
|char ||RE: Orestus Cushing|
Ok Thanks for checking it out. His mother Matilda was from Cortland and his parents Matilda and Hugh were married in Cortland in 1835. The 1840 census has them living in Cortland. Orestes was born 1836 so I am thinking he was born there but I understand why you are leaving it as Portland. I think it was just wrote wrong on the Draft Registration. If I do find anything saying for sure, I will let you know but for my records I am going with Cortland. Thanks again have a nice day.

|MissingHim||Amish Cemtery #2|
Oops, forgot and accidentally created one for Mattie Raber Wengerd when I was adding her son and husband - I will transfer her to your care, and if you want any others please let me know as I am no relation to anyone in this cemetery that I am aware of.
|MissingHim||RE: McDowell Cemetery in East Fallowfield Township|
Rich. Sorry I did not get back to you last evening about the Rabers, I had company. Thankfully - today was a gorgeous day and I was able to get out to the three Amish cemeteries in Atlantic and the Unger Cemetery (which is actually adjacent to Amish Cemetery #3.
Amish Cemetery was a bust as it is on a private Amish homestead and they refused entrance to visit the cemetery or take photographs based on their beliefs. The did tell me the stones are now down to the ground, and some under the ground.
The Rabers I found are in Amish Cemetery #2. I have a complete list of burials and I photographed every tombstone in that cemetery. I will make up the cemetery if you would like to add your Raber memorials - then I can just add the tombstone photos to your memorials. Rabers found there were:
Mattie (Raber) Wengerd - born Nov 17, 1922 and died Oct 14, 2004, age 81y11m3d, wife of Enos J. Wengerd
Albert B. Raber, born Dec 27, 1927 and died Feb 2, 1951, aged 24y1m6d, husband of Martha J. Detwiler
Robert B. Raber - born May 24, 1940 and died Nov 21, 1945, aged 5y5mo28days
Then Amish Cemetery #3 (which I will also create) - this is the one adjacent to the Unger Cemetery. The Amish cemetery sits to the left of the Unger Cemetery and is surrounded by its own wooden fence. The Unger Cemetery is unfenced and in bad shape. Here are the Rabers at Amish Cemetery #3:
1 - Benjamin R. Raber born April 25, 1902 and died December 2, 1950.
2 - Irene and son, wife of B.A. Raber - dates on stone are for Irene only - born October 31, 1904 and died September 11, 1942
Now, at this cemetery the Crawford County Historical Society listed a Noah Raber, son of B.A. and Irene Byler Raber born November 9, 1935 and died December 2, 1935. I could not find an existing tombstone for him today. I do have a layout map for this cemetery that I will make-up and post you can see where they are buried. Benjamin is in grave #38, Irena and son in #39 and Noah in #40.
|MissingHim||RE: McDowell Cemetery in East Fallowfield Township|
Rich, am at the historical society now and found info. Samuel McDowell is buried in the Frame Cemetery in East Fallowfield Township, along with his wife, Mary Ann. Samuel McDowell died March 3, 1853 at the age of 59 years, 4 months and 25 days. His wife died May 30, 1868 aged 73 years, 10 months and 11 days.
There are two Amish cemeteries in East Fallowfield AND the Unger Cemetery. Found some Rabers listed in one of the Amish Cemeteries and will send you the information when I get home...little difficult to do on a mobile device.
