My name is Tonya Sapp Hames. I was born & raised in Laurens, SC & lived there for 25 years. I now live in Ladson, SC, with my husband, Stephen, and son, Christian.|
I stumbled upon FAG by accident when I Googled my father, Robert E. Sapp, who passed away in 1991 & his name came up on this website. I have always been fascinated by genealogy. I have mostly been researching the following family names: Sapp, Nelson, Moore, Helms, Ball, Story, Belk, Kell, Woody, Fuller, Campbell, Richards, Myers, & Taylor; along with Hames, Crowder, Gregory, Kirkley, & West. However, along the way I have been doing other genealogy work as well. I am a FAG County Keeper emeritus for Dorchester Co., SC.
If you have any information that may help me with my research, please feel free to contact me. Also, when reviewing any of my work, if you see that I have made any error, no matter how large or small, please do not hesitate to contact me & let me know. I will ask, that when contacting me, you please do so in a respectful manner & allow for the corrections to be made. As FAG is NOT my full-time job, I do NOT work on my FAG information everyday, therefore, quick fix items will be taken care of in a more timely manner than other items which may take more research to complete.

You're welcome. I found as many as I could and am happy to have been able to help.

Thank you for taking all the time to walk through cemetery.
I am thinking about starting wth the funeral home listed on her death certificate and see where that leads.
Thanks again for all you to help people connect with their ancestry.
If anything turns up I will let you know.

I am looking for grave of my paternal grandmother. Dolly O'Sheild Henderson. She died during child birth in 1936. My paternal grandfather Forest Henderson died tragically later that year. During my last trip to Union, SC - I was able to locate Forest's grave at https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&GRid=115188281&CRid=70119& but was not able to find Dolly in Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery.
Dolly's parents were John Riley O'Sheilds and Dolly Austin and appear to be laid to rest at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Buffalo, SC.
I was wondering if my grandmother was buried with her parents instead of with he husband?
Would you have any info on Dolly or know who I might contact at Mt. Lebanon to research further.
I will be back in Union, SC in early Aug. 2017.

Tonya, I think the obituary listed the incorrect cemetery for Martin E Zernick. After checking again, I found his wife, Marie Costoff Zernick (Find A Grave 65603787), buried in Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville, Lehigh Co, PA. There is a listing for Martin E Zernick, but no information.
Martin's brother, Richard, is also posted on Find A Grave . The information here lists their father, Martin Zernick (Find A Grave 66196650) and mother, Katherine Nemetz (66196651), both buried in the Hungarian Sacred Heart Cemetery in South Bend, Indiana.
I would go ahead and post Martin's information for Resurrection Cemetery. I've listed all the family Find A Grave numbers so you can link them.

Sorry to inform you, but you have him buried in the wrong cemetery. He should be listed in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Washington St., Allentown, PA.
Information found in his obituary.

I just left this cemetery, I walked the entire lot only found 1, I talked with the older gentleman living next door and he told me that Ada Woodard grave was covered over few years back after a storm
He took me to spot at edge of woods he said sand has covered about 25 graves in last few years. The Vereen never had a stone , nor the Grates you requested. I found another Arthur Dozier partially covered with sand , military Korean War not Ole enough for your request. Sorry I couldn't do more.

Thanks for connecting Valentyne with her parents and siblings through my recent edit request. I left flowers for most of your family.
Thanks for all the great volunteer work (or perhaps "labor of love") you do for Find A Grave. You are creating a lasting legacy.

Hello, Tonya, on this memorial can you fix it so that John Edmunds photo is first and mine below his. I just found out he was my father and I never got the chance to meet him so I left a note and flowers and I thought that he and I can at least be together on this memorial page. I think I look a lot like him at least when I was a baby in this photo. Memorial Page #30856873.
