Bio and Links
Bio Photo I keep a record of burials in a local cemetery, in which I have 6 generations buried in. As genealogy has been my hobby for about 45 years, I have been interested in cemeteries and visited many.

Are we related?
Hi Sue. I was wondering if we might be related. We have been doing some genealogy research and I have found that Frederick Hosea Pollard is my Great Great Grandfather. I noticed you have posted some graves along his blood line, so I thought you might also be related to him. If you are, I have a lot of questions if you have some time.

RE: Lee Sterling Price McCool
Can you add the same information to Josephine Spencer McCool that you added to L. S. Price McCool? It was a full list of the children.

RE: elfie midkiff
Yes, I will take them if you want. The Midkiffs are descendants of the Olivers as I am; so as far as I know I am not directly related to the Huggins. I will do my best to update according to the records I have. Thanks Sue!

RE: E Ruggle
Hi Sue,

I was told by the Fairview Cemetery Sexton that the only data they have is a name, and date of internment. If there is no headstone, then I can't even get the birth date which would help identify the person.

For example, is "Rosa" my great grandmother who was born in Switzerland in the 1830s; or is she a child of Elizabeth and Albert Ruggles, named after Rosa, Albert's mother?

I learned the State of Texas didn't start keeping death records until 1903, so a death in 1895, 1898, or 1900 is difficult to track from the civil records.

People, just lost in time.

However, by key events, we can tell something about their struggles, joys, and heartbreaks.

I don't know why they don't have headstones...but I figure they were just struggling to get bye, and Albert was more worried about feeding the surviving children than paying for Elizabeth's headstone.

Anyway, let me know if you have any ideas on research / information.

THANKS for your good work.

Warmest regards,

James A. Ruggles

E Ruggle
Hi Sue, I believe that Elizabeth Ruggles is "E Ruggle" who died in October 1900, and is buried at Fairview in Gainesville. If you have any information regarding the other burials etc., please let me know.
