My name is Jamie Ellis and I live in the Texas Metroplex. I have two children and have been married for almost 17 years. I started researching my family when I was 12 years old. I could spend all day walking around a cemetery especially when the weather is cool (if only it was cooler more often)and there is a nice breeze. |
My husbands ggg grandfather donated the land that Bethesda Cemetery is located on.
I am currently photographing several cemeteries.
My family names I am researching are Amick, Corya, McCoskey, Northcutt, Hawkins, Coffman, Williamson, Lumley, Routh, Raber, Guthrie, Moore, Rodgers and Dunham.
Husband's family names I am researching are Owens, Owen, Ellis, Royse, Rainwater, White, Trapp, Caudill, Maggard, Cagle, Stisher, Shook, Martin and House.
If I have incorrect information or you would like me to transfer a family member to you just let me know, I am not really into how many memorial's I can add I just do this to help people find their loved ones.
I am currently having computer problems. As soon as I am back up and running, I will try and fill everyone's request. Sorry for any inconveniences I may be causing. Thanks for your patience.

Hello, my name is Cheryl Wilcox and I am a contributor on find a grave. We were out at Balch Cemetery today and I am not sure who to contact regarding a marker we found out there. The marker reads "A Memorial to a Little Slave Girl Killed by a Bear 1856".
I thought it was very special and wondered if it should be on the Balch Cemetery page as an unknown marker or how it should be entered.
We took a picture of it if you would like to see it.
Thank you for your help.

Thanks for your work.
I am looking for the information concerning Mrs.Linda Sue Ellis, who was born in 1939 in New York. Her parents were Abraham (Arthur) and Molly Ellis. She had a sister Sonia.
Do you know something about it?

I am the gr-gr-grandson of William Byrd Day(49375563), and the great grandson of William Bryd Day, Jr. who married Josephine Whitson Day. Please look though the links you helped create to see my connection.
You descend thougth Lutitia Ellen Day, who married Pleasant Inaman in 1861: Their children were Francis Marion, Franklin Pleasant, and Nancy Ellen Inman Day (Jobe). That's what I have on record. Francis Marion, daughter, was your descendant?
After the Civil War Lutitia's brother, David Maion Day, traveled to Texas, Tarrent County by wagon train. When his first wife, Mary, died David Marion Day went back to Alabama. Mary and David had one son, Samuel Byrd Day. David remarried and had many more children.
All these similar names confuse us all.
"Still hunting" for 3 of WBDay's children.

Please link William Byrd Day(1817-1901) to his father, David Day # 16032953 and his mother, Nancy Ann Byrd Day # 15940348 (1781-1840).
I think these are major links. Was so pleased to find them on F.A.G. You have his parents name's memtioned in your bio for him.
I sent you a message on the edit suggestions, too.
Thanks so for the links you connected recently for my Day family members.

Please link Nancy # 49376566 to her husband, Willim Byrd Day, Sr. # 49375563. They were both buried in the Day Cemetery.
I found out that my grandfather, William Byrd Day, Jr. was buried in the Day Cemetery, so far, no headstone has been found.

Would you happen to know where his son, Wiliam Byrd Day, Jr. was buried?
He was my great grandfather.
