Permelia (Hanks) Fuqua was my 4th Great Grandmother. I believe the information you have for her is incorrect. You have down that she died in Kentucky in Dec. 1870. Permelia was living with her son, John, in Moultrie County, Illinois in the 1880 census. I have no record of Permelia after 1880 though. Permelia married George Leaird after her 1st husband, Joel Fuqua, ran off to California during the Gold Rush. Thanks.

Would you be willing to transfer the above memorial to me briefly? He's family and would like to update his entry without the hassle of doing so one entry at a time. Would be happy to transfer it back to you as soon as I've finished.

Well, I did have a plot number, but we've moved since then and it's in a box at the top of a closet that I can't reach. ;-0 I could walk right to the grave, I'm just not close enough to do that. She was on page 52 in the old cemetery book. I asked where she was buried when I got Robert Gordon Miller's tombstone ordered. Of course I forgot to put that info in my database notes, I wrote it in my copy of the cemetery book.

Hannah Lucinda Stringfellow Smith Davisson Collar Guilford Fuqua is most assuredly buried in Bement Cemetery, in what is typically called an unmarked grave, of which I know the location. I have many family members buried there in unmarked graves, that doesn't mean that they aren't there. I know exactly where they ALL are buried. Only one has a stone, and that is a stone that I had placed there for Robert Gordon Miller. So please, check the sexton records. Hannah Lucinda is buried there, she has no stone.

I have found a document that describes her burial place. It is Piatt County, a few miles north of Mackville, where her husband is buried. I have created a memorial to her. If you wish I can have it transferred to you, just let me know what you want to do. The memorial number is Find A Grave Memorial# 165211915
