I am a Florida native raised in Jacksonville, FL. I was adopted at 9 years old. I have been going to graveyards with my dad since about 9-10 years old researching genealogy. I started with John Nelson Gardner. I was amazed at the resource this site has been, but it was missing a lot of my family members. I have had a fun time honoring their memory. I am primarily interested in the following surnamesMoore, Roberts, Forrester, Gardner, Hancock, Cates, Totty, Reeves, Reed, Duncan, Morris, Elliott, Burr, Stansell, Wamsley, Logan and Coyle. My areas of interest are Albemarle, NC, Charlotte, NC, Chesterfield, SC and Hickman, TN. I am happy to transfer graves, but all of them are my family so it is unlikely that will need to happen.|

My pleasure. Was just out in that area the other day snapping away. I sent a copy of the pic to your email address on your profile in case you needed one for your records.

hi, yes, the original record came from a tombstone transcription project which said it was a double stone, but when i went to find a pic of the stone there was only one stone for her, which i put on the memorial, I didnt have a record at the time for her husband, I was only looking for a specific list at the time and the grave yard is huge,if i get a chance in the next few weeks, ill go back out there (ive moved away so its alittle further for me to get to than previously) and see if I can find a stone for her husband, most likely he is buried near her, unless he is an MIA from the war. There are a lot of Rayburns buried here though, so good possibility he is there. if i find one for her husband, would you like me to create a memorial or send the pic directly to you? either way is fine with me, these are not my relatives, I just happened to live in the area and drive by this cemetery every day and it has a lovely park area where i would take my youngest after preschool because he got out 2 hours before the other kids and i had to wait in town to pick them up. (plus he just LOVED looking at the different stone architecture)

My husband is the nephew of Thomas M Curry Jr. His father was Morris Joseph Curry, the older brother. Their father shot their mother Alma, on 1/1/1916. Your document # is 137039223 Thomas's grave is the one that was empty in Philadelphia when it was dug up very recently We would love any info you might have on his remaining family. Thank you for any help.

I am a descendant of George Morris. His daughter Cameline had 3 children with Christenberry Elliott. When I looked him up I saw the page from the family Bible but maybe since I haven't joined Ancestry.com I could not enlarge the photo enough to be able to read it. If possible could you email me a copy of this? Thanks so much for your help!

My aunt is a Lookadoo. I have considerable information on the family. Send me your personal email and we can share.

I think the only way you are going to find a birth record for Edward is if he applied for a Delayed Birth Certificate. Lois should have a birth certificate since she was born in 1926. I could not find one on either Ancestry or Family Search.
I found Tempy Matilda Mask on the 1900 census in Finley, McDowell Co., NC. Living with her is dau, Dovia A. and grandson, Edward McGallaird, born Apr 1897. The are a few McGalliard families in McDowell. My guess (no proof) is Edward's father was a McGalliard. In 1900 Anna is living with her brother, William. She was enumerated as single on the 1900 and 1910 Census'. By the 1910 census Edward is enumerated as a Mask.
On the WWI Draft Registration Card the "Father's birthplace" was crossed out with "Mother's" written over. On his death certificate his father is listed as "Don't know."
None of this really helps a lot. I don't think you are going to find the father's of either Edward or Lois.
As for John Dudley Mask, it appears he is deceased by 1900 when Tempy is listed as a widow. Too early for there to be a death certificate. I have photographed every tombstone in Nebo Cemetery and am willing to go out on a limb and say he does not have a tombstone there! He was enumerated on the 1880 in Caldwell Co., NC and may be buried there depending on when he died and when Tempy relocated to McDowell.
