florence scovel
florence scovel shinn photo...
i believe the photo you posted of florence...the second one on the memorial of anais nin and not florence...(photo of lady w/ hair parted)...i've seen this photo used in a few places as a photo for florence...but it never seemed quite like florence's likeness...
i saw someone mention that it was anais nin...and if you look up anais nin...i think you might agree it is indeed a photo of her and not florence...

i often think the best images to use of florence are just the ones painted by william they are for certain what florence looked like..he painted her never really smiling..but at least we know it is painting w/ her is called 'the shoppers' by glackens..she is in the gold coat...

there is a nice photo of her and fellow students from the late 1800's the pennsylvania academy of fine arts, online...she is seated in that photo...

anyway..hope this helps somehow....peace..

Carbutt Ad
Thank you for seeking me out. I actually have seen the Ad before but I am grateful that you took the time to find a descendant to share the Ad with.

RE: Willard Grosvenor Bleyer
Hi, no, I did not know that he was an author. Is there any additional information you would like me to add to his bio? I just listed his occupation as "author." Probably doesn't do him justice, but I know nothing about him. If you send addt'l. info. would you like your name mentioned as the contributor? Regards, Nadeen
