Bio Photo Taphophilia (a passion and enjoyment of cemeteries) has been my main hobby since the late 1970's when I was a junior in high school. I discovered that cemeteries in and around Los Angeles were the best places to hide from truant officers. It was in these adopted sanctuaries that I began to appreciate my surroundings: the grounds, the headstones, the architecture, the artwork and most importantly, the residents.

In October of 2010, I founded The Traveling Taphophiles, a group that sets out once a month to visit cemeteries. Our travels have taken us as far as New Orleans. I'm fortunate to have met others that share my hobby and to have forged some great friendships along the way.

Once photos have been posted, feel free to use them as you wish - photo credit isn't necessary.

Happy Graving ~

Louis DuMort

I miss Chris and Martha with all my heart.

RE: James Garner
My candidates for Famous bio have been governors of Florida and GA; Czars of Russia; and famous people in a Lithuanian cemetery....boring.

When I saw Bub in a virtual cemetery I thought with a moniker like that, he must have a bike. Bingo. Crazy. And now when I send it, I see his given Jeffrey Lynn, and I remember Jeffrey Lynn Bennett from Zoar. Ohio generational thing I guess.
