We are Matthew and Chrissy Myers. We have been into old stones and cemeteries for years, and got back on the site a while ago. |Melanie Woodard Logue||Whitley/Barnes/Phillips cemetery|
Hello Matthew & Chrissy. Thanks to you both for all your efforts for Find-A-Grave!
I have been unsuccessful in finding the physical location of this cemetery. Find-A-Grave location describes it at 2 SR's (State roads) in Clayton, NC, but even with the help of an employee at the Johnston Co. Heritage center, we just could not pinpoint the location.
My great grandparents, Dixon and Edna Phillips, are buried there. It is apparently a very small likely overgrown cemetery and I fear possibly plowed under. I hope that isn't the case.
I live out of state, but I visit the Raleigh area a couple of times ea year.
If you can give any advice on how to locate this cemetery I would be grateful!

The photo for Find A Grave Memorial# 103564965 was added twice. Thought you would like to remove the copy. Thanks again for all the photos you both add to Find A Grave.
Good day Matthew and Crissy, could you tell me where you got the information from on Hardy and Amber Sanders.

Thank you so much for the transfer. I really appreciate it.
|Mary Ann Loss||James Cofield|
Hi there, Would you kindly consider deleting a photo that you added to #3273063? It's the wrong Cofield. I've also asked Find A Grave to do the same and am sending this note to cover all bases. Thanks so much, Mary Ann

Hello Matthew & Chrissy!
Thank you so much for the work you do on FindAGrave, most especially with Military memorials.
I was contacted, today, and was informed that there was another memorial created for my cousin, Cynthia Inez Brown Skidmore. At the time I created her memorial, I did not know where her remains/cremains were placed, as it was not mentioned in the obit. I had also created memorials, in the same matter, burial location unknown, for her husband, the Col. Lloyd James Skidmore Jr, and their son, Lloyd James Skidmore III.
I would like to request, and hope you will oblige, that you add the photos from the memorials you created to the ones I created and allow me to continue to maintain the original memorials and remove the ones you created. I would so appreciate it.
Cynthia Inez Brown Skidmore - 138855673
Col. Lloyd James Skidmore Jr - 138855408
Lloyd James Skidmore III - 138854958
Thank you for your kind consideration.

Many thanks for the transfer!!

Many thanks!! You are fast!
If possible and appropriate, remove the actual obituary and just leave the summary. I sent the actual obituary only for your information. If you want, just delete everything below...."July 20, 2002"
|Gale Olsson McHale||RE: Pvt Roman Ovenburg|
I went to the cemetery today and found Roman's family plot. I was pleased to find a headstone for Roman. Although it's not a military marker, it does note his military service. Just wanted to let you know that the photos are posted. I may send you some edit requests for him.
PS Thanks for taking a look at the information for Alban W Purcell. In addition to feeling that our veterans should be paid special attention to, I thought his information was particularly interesting as he seemed to have many different facets to his life. Did you happen to see that one of the actors he was in a supporting role to was John Wilkes Booth? Ironic. Yes, could be another one, but ... And, no, that's NOT why I referred you to the article. I just happened to notice it while I was reading after I clipped.
