My rant on bullies...

Most of us are just minding our own business trying our best to pay it forward, but sometimes we run into those persnickety contributors suffering from delusions of grandeur who deem themselves the policing agents for this site. They attack without provocation, list no e-mail, and disable their profile messages in an attempt to allow their "demands" to go unchallenged before proceeding to their next victim. Since addressing their petty issues would prove counterproductive, perhaps they might consider the following suggestions:

First...lighten up and chill. We're not impressed by the "number of years" you've been contributing or the "number of memorials" you create yet fail to maintain. Anyone can plug-in bare bones information and create a memorial that's of no use to anyone. We're the community's contributors who work daily behind the scenes adding thousands of content edits (that aren't counted) in order to provide context to the sloppy memorials you rush through. Who cares that you recorded "Bob Smith" in a particular cemetery when you fail to provide pertinent details (available to you at the time) that will help "Bob's" family members find him.

Second...perhaps you should strive for quality over quantity when creating memorials and/or adding headstone photos that increase your total "numbers" but are blurry or illegible.

Third...maybe your time and energy would be better spent tending to the log in your own eye instead of the splinter in others. Critique your own memorials and make sure you're in compliance with "the rules" before you demand that others do the same.

Your courage to say what must be said is overwhelmingly appreciated. If you see anything in my volunteer work that needs correcting .......PLEASE, correct me. I am trying to follow all of the guidelines with an open mind and heart. I want to continue to grow and have the respect of my fellow contributors. There are times when we humans cannot see the "forest for the trees". Your thoughts are well received.

Dora Byerly
Hi there,
I had no idea that Dora's memorial was merged into my memorial that I had added, I did not contact findagrave to merge it or anything so I am assuming someone else may have asked to have them merged. In any case, I will happily transfer the memorial over to your care if you like? Please let me know! :)

Anna andJesse tufts

just wanted to drop you a note transferred ownership of Anna and Jesse Tufts over to you, I am a firm believer that family should manage family memorials. I'm sure this will meet with your approval.

Best Wishes

James Paul Williams
This was the father of 8 children, including
James Williams 1835-1902. He was born in SC
in 1795, and died abt. 1857.
I'm looking for his exact place of birth in SC,
as well as his exact place of death.
He was married to Charlotte Harrison, also born
in SC in 1906, and died in Milam Cty in Texas
in 1870. Charlotte's parents are buried in the
Harrison Cemetery in Lauderdale County, Alabama.

I have claimed your request for the Hesters. At this time I have added a pix of flowers. The cemetery is covered in snow with more expected today into this weekend. As soon as possible, I will get the pix of the headstone and exchange pictures. I hope this is ok with you. The headstones in Mountain View in that section are flat.

Donald I MacIvor
Hi there. I am a friend of Donald MacIvor's son, Doug, who is legally blind and am trying to do research for him. Could you please tell if you are just referring to Donald's parents being buried in Sutter Cem or if you happen to know if Donald is there also. We have contacted the cemetery and they do not have record of his remains being buried there. He was cremated.

There is a bit of family strife over this and all I am after is the location of his remains. Thank you.
