RE: James Pond Bacon
Bertha is definitely not buried in Woodmere -- she's buried next to her parents on the "Patterson" side of the stone.

Another fun fact -- one side of the stone says "Patterson/Bacon," and the other side just says "Bacon." I took a picture of the flip side tonight.

Wonder if Bertha didn't like her hubby?

RE: James Pond Bacon
I know there was a daughter next to the left of James -- I just don't recall her name. I'll let you know what I find.

RE: James Pond Bacon
The individual gravestones (around the main Patterson/Bacon stone) do not tell you who is Bacon and who is Patterson.

I presumed that James B was Bacon, but after poking around the links you have I can see that James B is Patterson.

RE: James Pond Bacon
Actually, there are a new more Bacons in the immediate vicinity.

The first picture I took was the wrong James. There is a James B. Bacon (1856-1929), presumably James' father. I believe his wife is next to him, and I think a daughter too.

If you want to add those folks, I'll upload James B. and go get the others. Just let me know.

Your Request Slijk-Ewijk
Because of your request for this grave I've been to the church of Slijk-Ewijk to take a photograph for you.

Unfortunately, there are no graves at all! If there are any, they are somewhere under ground level. There are no plans to get them above.

I presume your knowledge about the place of burial is from another source? I don't think we can speak about a headstone for this website now.

Thanks for setting me straight on this.

It took me a while--terribly busy this week!--but I've checked Ed's death cert and Frances is listed as his wife. Unfortunately, her maiden name is not listed.

The fact that their stones match lends more weight to that as well.

Thanks again!
