Bio Photo "One person can make a difference, and everyone should try." John Fitzgerald Kennedy

The best way to give back on this site is to go out to a local cemetery and fulfill some photo requests. If someone has fulfilled photo requests for you, maybe it's time to go do the same for someone else. It really is very rewarding for both you and the person for whom you take the photo.

The best way you can help the volunteer photographers is to post the burial plot of the grave markers you want photographed. Posting photo requests without a burial plot is like trying to get somewhere without directions. You might get there eventually, but it could have been a whole lot easier and taken much less time. The "Help with Find A Grave" file clearly states that the person requesting a photo is to provide the burial plot for the photographers.

Almost all memorials I create are not family members, and I am willing to transfer them to other members.

Do not use the photos I take anywhere else, including within Find A Grave, without permission. I retain the copyright to all of my photos.

Major Accomplishment 2016: Fulfilled my 4,000th photo request on September 9, 2016. Discovered and photographed the burial books for St. Vincent Cemetery in LaSalle, Illinois.

Major Accomplishment 2015: Fulfilled over 500 photo requests, most of which were at Forest Home Cemetery in Forest Park, Illinois, and cleared up 75% of the photo requests at the cemetery.

Major Accomplishment 2014: Fulfilled over 2,222 photo requests with number 2,000 occurring on October 28, 2014. Multiple cemeteries with large backlogs of over 100 photo requests were cleaned up while completing this project.

Major Accomplishment 2013: Added photos for all 433 persons buried in the Chicago Typographical Union Section of Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove, Illinois along with most of the veterans sections, the old age home, Civil War wives, and a large group of graves at the southern end of the cemetery.

Hi, Ace. I have reason to believe that memorial # 84317088 died in Detroit, but was buried in Forest Home. I'm not 100% certain of her exact date of death, but I think this is her death record: She could have been buried a week or more after her death, since it was likely a murder. Next time you are able to do some research on Forest Home burials, would you be able to check for her?

It is possible that this record is under the wrong cemetery. If you notice near the end of the obit it states his body was escorted to Bay View Cemetery in Greenville, NJ. (Greenville is located in Hudson Co. and there is a Bayview Cemetery located there). Thank you Karen

That's what I was told--obviously by someone who's not as dedicated to cemetery research as we would like!

OK thanks, it has always been a mystery to me why the office could not find her, especially now that I know you were able to. Next time I am able to go, I shall have to enquire with them as to who else is buried in that spot.

Hello Ace - Since the owner of the memorial in the Concordia Cemetery has not made the correction, I have created a memorial for her (176783325) in Forest Home. Would you please enter the photos you have for her?
Thank you so much for all you have done.

P.S. They're organized by section, not alphabetically by name.
