Aaron Underwood info
The Old Court House Museum in Winchester VA
has an id badge on display from Aaron D Underwood
The only info we have is that he deserted in Kansas in 1866. Is this the same person?

ID Inscription: “AARON D UNDERWOOD/ Co G / 1st US CAV.”
Location: This is a copper ID disc found by Harry Ridgeway near the Heater House, Battle of Cedar Creek (Picture Good)

The 1st US Cavalry served actively in the 1864 campaign including Cedar Creek 10/19/64. This soldier deserted in Kansas in 1866.
Military Record: Yes, only record shows the Deserters log showing desertion in Kansas in 1866
Pension Record: None found (deserter will not be eligible)

Harriet Hann - Oak Hill - Gary, IN
Hello. I just wanted to let you know I am working on locating Harriet's grave. I took a weekend trip up North and tried to locate her grave this past weekend but was unsuccessful at that time. I will take another trip ... hopefully in about a month or so and will try to find it again. This time I'll enlist the aid of the cemetery office. The cemetery is quite large.

Martha Jane Winters
Just wanted to let you know that I requested a picture of Martha's tombstone at Decatur Cemetery and it was reported that they have no record of her at that cemetery. Thought I would let you know. Linda Brown
