Bio Photo Dear Ancestor

"Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is to late to mourn

You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh and blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would of loved you so
I wonder how you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you"

Thank you!
Gerald, I am deeply grateful to you for photographing the graves of my grandmother, Fanny Kaufman, and grandfather, Morris Kaufman, and their deceased infant daughter (my father's sister), Helen Kaufman. What a mitzvah to begin the New Year!

Wishing you and yours all the blessings of this high holiday season. Many thanks -

Lazar photos
I can't begin to thank you enough for taking these wonderful photos of my 2nd great grandparents. I have never seen a photo of them before and am so grateful to have photos to keep in my genealogy documents. I can clearly see a family resemblance. The Hebrew inscriptions brought me to tears as they referred to "my dear wife and mother" and because Louis was widowed at the time of his death "my dear father." So grateful that you took the time to fulfill my request.

Kind regards,
Lauren
