Etienne Choquette
Hi Lois, My grandmother was Clarinda Choquette Heon. She was the daughter of Etienne and Ellen (Philomeme) Ducharme Choquette. I noticed that a lot of people think that Etienne Choquette is in the family photo that I posted a while back, and has circulated to lots of folks. He is not in the picture. The person sitting next to Ellen in the middle of the photo is actually her son William Ducharme. He was born in Canada before she met and married Etienne Choquette. He does look older than the rest of her children in that picture. I have tried to clear that up, but once it starts to circulate it is hard to change it. I saw your post on Amy Choquette's find a grave for Etienne. May I ask what was your connection to Etienne? Margo

RE: Charles Heeks & Josephine
Hi Lois,
I was wondering if you could help me with Clara Heeks b: 1868 England, daughter of Benjamin H. Heeks and Anne Pittaway.

Clara married Daniel James Billington in 1889. Clara died 1899 in Pawtucket. Any chance you have a Birth Record/Certificate for her? I think she may have been born Jan-Mar 1868 in Aston, Warwickshire, England (registration district. I need to find her Birth Record.

I am assisting Dr. Robert (Bob) Billington of RI in his Family History as he is pursuing Mayflower Society Membership. Bob being your 2nd cousin 1X removed (or rather your 3rd cousin). Clara (Heeks) Billington is his Great Grandmother.

My name is Donna H. Blinn. Email is:
heritage.blinn@gmail.com

It might make it easier to communicate via direct email.

Thanks so much, Lois, for your prompt reply and your fantastic genealogy work!!! Great job!

Hope to keep in touch!
Regards, Donna.

Charles Heeks & Josephine
Thought I would pass this info on to you as I just found the RI 1925 State Census which shows Charles & Josephine at that time had 4 children: Beatrice b: 1893, Ethel b:1899, Charles Jr. b: 1902 and Barbara b:1924. Hope this is helpful!

Thank you
~Thank you so much for the beautiful message you left for my dear Uncle Tom. He was indeed a wonderful man, and my Mum's baby brother. He was an example to all.

RE: Keeping you in my prayers
I was blessed, Lois. I went back to the surgeon and don't have to have surgery after all. I was quite scared. I'm going through quite a bit right now - daughter in rehab, granddaughters living with their other grandparents, husband out of work, my brother is living with us and he has mental health problems, so facing anal surgery was just the icing on the cake. Thank you for thinking of me. Write anytime!! Hugs, Karen
