Thank you in advance for visiting my sister, Sandy,|
my mother, Elsie, and my father-in-law Don Kimble
I am so grateful to everyone that leaves flowers for them.
One of my hobbies is Wheres George.com
When time permits, please leave flowers for the following:
Please remember Harriet Kimble
Please remember Cynthia Roman
May 30 Anna Brillhart
May 31 Janie Riley
Please remember Kris' brother Michael Ockenden
Grandpa Charles Shockey
Cousin Michael Driggers
Please remember 10 yr. old Wade King
This is a poem that I stumbled upon (author unknown):
Always a silent hurt,
many a silent tear,
but always a beautiful memory
of one we loved so dear.
God gave us strength to bear it,
and courage to take the blow,
but what it meant to lose you
...no one will ever know.
I was born and raised in Norfolk, VA. I've lived in FL, NY, CA, WA, and OR.
I found Find A Grave by accident. It has become one of my favorite sites to visit. It has given me a place that I can remember my mother and my sister Sandy and honor their memory right from my desk. Thank you Find A Grave.

Strangers in the Box
By Pamela A. Harazim
Come, look with me inside this drawer,
In this box I've often seen,
At the pictures, black and white,
Faces proud, still, serene.
I wish I knew the people,
These strangers in the box,
Their names and all their memories
Are lost among my socks.
I wonder what their lives were like.
How did they spend their days?
What about their special times?
I'll never know their ways.
If only someone had taken time
To tell who, what, where, when,
These faces of my heritage
Would come to life again.
Could this become the fate
Of the pictures we take today?
The faces and the memories
Someday to be tossed away?
Make time to save your pictures,
Seize the opportunity when it knocks,
Or someday you and yours could be
The strangers in the box.
"If you could see your ancestors
All standing in a row,
There might be some of them, perhaps,
You wouldn't want to know.
But, here's another question, which
Requires another view,
If you could meet your ancestors,
Would they be proud of you?"

I noted you left a floral tribute for my great grandmother (supra). Are you related? If so it may prove helpful for us both to establish contact.

Neil, I was so moved by the bio you wrote for your Mom. She reminds me on my Mom with her strength. I wish Elsie a Happy Mother's Day in Heaven.

Please remove this memorial, that stone is simply a plot marker, it is not a grave. All persons buried in that plot have individual stones and memorials. Thank you.
|Vicky Wiemer Tracy||Thank you|
I just noticed today the lovely pic of a guitar that you left on my dad's Find a Grave Memorial (Roy Wiemer). Dad loved to play the guitar, and I so miss hearing him play. Thank you for your tribute.
