If you find errors or wish me to add additional biographical information to entries I've made, I would be happy to do that. |
Please put CEMETERY CORRECTION in the subject line. In the text of the message, please be sure to tell me in WHICH cemetery your person is buried. I work with several cemeteries, so I do need this clarification.
I have been an avid genealogist since 1966. I enjoy birding, "digging in the dirt" (gardening), music and reading, but above all, I love finding the solution to genealogical problems.
I have received tremendous help from people who have posted information online for me to find. I feel it's time to do some pay-back.
Please feell free to use my photos for your genealogical research.

|history4sure||RE: Comfort & Alfred Carter|
Comfort very well could have been married & divorced earlier - I have seen marriage records for her to an Alfred R. Carter born abt. 1840, Maine (one date is 28 March 1863 and another is 5 April 1863), but the only thing I saw on a Julia H. is census records where her husband is named Alfred A, who was born July 1839 in Maine.
Then he shows up as Alfred A, married to Julia H. - they are in Sedgwick in 1880, 1900, but it is always "Alfred A", father, Julia H., mother & "Alfred E", son, born Jan 1867.
I'm not familiar with the Carter line - Alfred Carter is a pretty common name, so I can't tell if Alfred R is the same as Alfred A. Sorry....
