|Bob Smith||Barbara Markley Mith|
I Evelyn, I wanted to say hello as I believe we are distant cousins. I saw you posted a comment on Barbara Markley Smith's Find a Grave site that she is your 6th Great Grandmother. My name is Bob Smith and she is my 5th great grandmother. I live in Louisville, KY. I am very new to the genealogy search process and am very thankful to all the volunteers on Find a Grave that help with the research. Very nice to make the connection.
|Cynthia Leonard||Elisabeth McCormick|
I am just now entering the genealogy game, but I have traced my paternal grandfather back to Alexander McCormick. He is either my 5th or 6th great. Alexander Jr. Was my next grandfather. I am just curious about what you know about Elizabeth? I had always heard stories from my Grandmother about a female relative being captured by indians. This is honestly a "holy crap" moment! Do you know any details?
Thank you so much!
Cyndi Gilbert Leonard

Transfer complete. I enjoy it when relatives ask for a transfer. It means I'm not the only nut who enjoys genealogy.

Sorry it took so long to transfer sites to you. I thought I had already done it and realized I hadn't when checking my emails.
I transferred the memorial for Lionel Psenicka.

I figured it (the two Williams) out - after I sent the message, but I did not no how to stop the message. I found the info I needed. I apologize for bothering you and do appreciate your time and your response. Hilda

Site 866320 you noted this William Kellison was related. I have two in my ancestry.com tree. Can you supply an approximate age for the one buried at Grafton? Hilda
|Mary Collins||Harry Rigg|
I am Harry's daughter, Mary. His mom was Mary Cecelia O'Neill, married to Ralph Madison Rigg.
|Brandon Pawley||Elizabeth "Betsy" McCormick Ewing|
Turns out (according to my mother's cousin) there is an article (and I can find that out for you after I see my mom about it) in a gazette of that time frame that says this mutual grandmother of ours was repatriated in 1787. Her friend who was kidnapped with her was able to excape and found her way back down to their home in Pa. Katherin Ewing. Shortly after this, Betsy's dad paid the indians in Canada a ransom to get her back. Turns out the raid was perpetuated by the Brits.
Anyhow, thought you would like to know.
