The photos on this site were all taken while I was tracking down my ancestors in various cemeteries in Upstate New York and Vermont. None of the people listed are relatives, so unfortunately I don't know anything about them beyond what's on their grave. However, I'm more than happy to transfer management to anyone who asks.|

Hi Again, Glad to hear the info is up. No need to transfer, I'm in no way related. Just doing research on Civil War Veterans. Paul

Hello Elizabeth, I submitted two edit requests. One to add his middle initial and a second to add his full date and place of death. The source was his obit. I also added his photograph, that had accompanied his obit. Not an ancestor; stumbled upon him looking for a civil war vet. Therefore no transfer is requested. Paul Turner

I appreciate your response and understand that you only created the memorial with the photo and only the info on the tombstone. I will contact the person who created the link to it.

Sorry for slowness in my thank you. Election season got a little crazy as things went down to the wire.
Appreciate the transfer!

Wm. McCormick wrote a book that I am transcribing detailing his service in the Civil War. The daughter's name was Elizabeth! But that Elizabeth died unmarried. I thought it really interesting that you created the memorial. It's a work in progress, but here is the transcription as it stands now... http://djwinsness.com/wilson-cw-book/transcripted-doc.pdf

Just wanted to drop you a note to say thank you for this contribution to Find A Grave. The person in this memorial is my 2nd great grandfather. His real name was William Thomas McCray and was nicknamed 'Tibbits'....unknown origin !
I have joined Find A Grave and have made the appropriate corrections for further researchers, and once I figure out how to add additional info (parents, wives & children) I will do so.
In your bio you indicated you were looking for local connections in the Troy, NY area but was unsuccessful in that endeavor.
If you'd like to provide me with the names / cemeteries you were searching for I'd be happy to do so.
Feel free to contact me via this site, or directly at firstname.lastname@example.org
