Thank you. I believe Ferdinand may have been in Paterson NJ. His daughter Lizzie married Paul Kuhnert in Paterson NJ

Johann Goldapski
My Great Great Grandfather Ferdinand Goldapski is the brother of Johann Goldapski. I am trying to find information on where my Great Great Grandfather is buried. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply! I actually found one more person in your chain I think. Sargent and Rebecca Hunkins son in your line appears to be Henry Harrison Hunkins 1831-1899, who married Mary or Polly St John. They were the parents of James Henry Hunkins, on some censuses just as Henry, who married Anna Flynn. Hope this is right! You and I appear to be 8th cousins, 2x removed - but cousins nonetheless.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner! Yes, I am related to Nathan and Rebecca. Their father Henry Whitcher would have been my 3rd cousin 5 times removed. So, I guess you and I are also related! I had not traced Rebecca's children, but see what are probably two of hers on the 1850 census. Henry Hunkins, b. 5/8/1831 in Vermont, and perhaps Harriet b. abt. 1837 in Wisconsin. Doing a quick check on FamilySearch it looks like there were several others - Maria Whitcher Hunkins, Phebe Jane Hunkins and perhaps an S. Rogers Hunkins. Is any one of these your ancestor? Just for interest, Rebecca would have been a third cousin once removed of the poet John Greenleaf Whittier.

I went to Dunbar cemetery today and happen to run into the cemetery trustee. There is no listing in their paperwork that he is buried there, although their records are not 100%. There is also no marker stating otherwise. Sorry.

RE: Weston
Sure. When were George and Eileen in WI? I'm not seeing Eileen on a quick search of the census, but lots of George Westons. From my limited research in England, I think Weston was a pretty common name there.

RE: Weston/Westen/Westin
Leeann,

There is no connection that I know of. My Westons came from England to New York in 1831. My George Joseph Weston had two brothers, Thomas and Samuel. Thomas never married and had no children we're aware of. I haven't been able to find any records of Samuel (b. 1825) after the immigration. George Joseph's sons Gardner and Charles and their offspring are all accounted for. Charles had no children. Gardner's son George only had one son, who never married or had children. There was another Weston family in Dodge County (Charles Weston of Burnett) which is also unrelated as far as I know. If I recall correctly, they came from Canada. They might be connected to your people; I don't know.

Valerie
