RE: Glenn Obenchain [#90412550]
Hi, Sally,

Sorry. Can't help you. I just photographed a lot of graves at the cemetery in Greensburg, Kansas. I don't know the Obenchains.

Have an awesome day,

RE: Thomas Medbourne
Welford Road Cemetery is in the borough of Leicester, Leicestershire and 40 miles from Welford which is in Northamptonshire. If someone died in Welford it is more likely that they would be buried in a church nearby. I have had a quick look and seethat they have a church in the village of Welford: St Mary the Virgin which was built in the 13th and 15th centuries.

If you are not in the UK it might be worth joining a Rootsweb mailing list as someone local to that area might be able to help. Have a look at
There is one for the Northamptonshire area:
You can join free, search the mailing lists or join one and ask others.

Also the Northampton Family History Society have a website:

I am not familiar with Northamptonshire research but will keep an eye open for any in Leicestershire, particularly that burial at St Margarets Church.

RE: Thomas Medbourne
I need to to visit the Leicestershire Records office some time next week so will have a look at the St Margaret's burials to see if any additional information. I have just rechecked the date of the burial and it is 16 Aug 1816 (sorry not 1818) but definitely St Margarets and the index says he was 42. The actual burial record might give his address which could help you.
There are no Medbourn or Medbourne's buried in Welford Road Cemetery Leicester between 1849 and 1950
I will be in touch

Medbournes in Masonic Cemetery
I walked from stone to stone photographing the entire cemetery so if they were there, I would have photographed the stones. There were some VERY old stones that were so worn I couldn't read them.

Minerva Fletchall
Thank you for letting me know about the picture. She and my father were 3rd cousins. I showed it to my father and he remembers her. Miss Fletchall taught Art to my father's 5th grade class in Stewartsville in about 1931. He particularly remembers the lessons in watercolor painting.
