I am interested in family history and love cemeteries. People don't understand that; there is so much history to be learned there; cemeteries are quiet, restful places, and many are quaint and beautiful. Our Memorial Day family tradition was to visit our cemeteries and decorate the graves of family members by weeding, planting flowers, and cleaning the gravestones. My grandmother always packed a picnic lunch to eat in the cemetery after the work was done. Since I now have family all over, Find A Grave helps me "visit."|

Hi Cathleen, my name is Taylor and this may sound odd but I am a Pokemon Go player and there are many pokestops in the evergreen cemetery in grand blanc Michigan that I frequent. I mention this because it seems you are cousins with someone that's head stone is a pokestop. Jesse Sibley. I think that it is nice that they have pokestops in older cemeteries because I don't think people always get out to go visit. I was wondering if you could tell me why she passed at 54 years old. I just visit her so much that I find myself thinking about it frequently. I hope to have not upset you and I hope to hear from you soon. :)

Looks like we may be distant cousins, Cathleen. It will require someone other than me to do the math. Like your bio and affirm your activity from generations removed.

you're right, find a grave is like visiting. Bless the people who have taken on this huge task of getting all the photos and information online for others who can't get access or get to the actual places themselves( me included).
How do you descend from Hugh Sargent? I come down from him thru my grandmother Eva Lillian Cromwell.

Can you tell me more about Maple Grove over near Elba in Lapeer Co
Trying to find info about it, the only thing I could find that it is attached to Dawn Memorial. Sounds like an interesting cemetery!

It is great to meet new family :) I am actually doing the research for The Ancestral Families of Michael Koder (1540-2011), 3rd Edition: In Search of Koders & Coders.
The 2nd Edition is available on Amazon.
So Sylvester will be taken with much care and chronicled in the next book of which I am more then happy to add you as a contributor.
